User talk:SitDown
Welcome!Edit
Hello SitDown! Welcome to UESPWiki! It's always good to have new members. If you would like to help improve any of our pages, you may want to take a look at the following links:
- Policies and Guidelines: UESPWiki standards and expectations
- Help Contents: a list of in-depth Help pages
- Quick Editing Guide: a quick guide to wiki markup
- Getting Started: how you can help
- Uploading Images: Guidelines on image standardization
If you would like to spice up your userpage, click here for a list of userboxes you can use, including a guide to making your own.
When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our patrollers really appreciate it!).
Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox or discuss the games on the forums. If you need any help, don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors. Have fun! ~Shuryard (talk) 06:26, 30 May 2015 (UTC)
Oblivion Houses Redesign ProjectEdit
Hi SitDown, it's always nice to see members take an interest in site projects. However, I'd consider looking over some examples of how articles are written for the project, see this page as an example. Enjoy your time on the site! --AKB Talk Cont Mail 07:07, 30 May 2015 (UTC)
PointersEdit
Hi SitDown, I just wanted to brief you on a couple of things. Messages for other users should never be left on an article page (eg. "(Needs :verification. I will verify it soon.)"). Messages should either go in the edit summary or the talk page to alert others to your intentions. Also the description part of a summary box gets transcluded (shows up on other pages), so they need to be kept brief and to the point. To add to the top paragraph simply start the sentences on the same line as the "}}" which closes the summary table. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 21:40, 31 May 2015 (UTC)
