Detailed WalkthroughEdit

BodiEdit

Bodi lives and works aboard the Heron's Tail, a ship moored in the Bravil Docks. When you first talk to him, he'll grumble about how his shipmate, Pinot, owes him money: "Damn Pinot, thinks he can get away from me, I'll get that money one way or another... ". If you inquire further, he'll tell you: "Pinot and I play cards on a regular basis, and every time I win big, he never pays up!" At this point, you can offer to help, or simply walk away. If you decide to help, he'll accept: "Sure, I don't care, do whatever you have to, just squeeze those coins from that cheap-arse and get my money!"

PinotEdit

Your next step, of course, is to talk to Pinot. If you tell him you're there for Bodi's money, he'll angrily reply: "I don't owe that cheating s'wit anything! He says he beat me, but he only did because he kept cards hidden in his sleeves!" At this point, the game will make a Personality check - a random percentage chance plus your Personality score. Tell him to cough up the gold; if the check succeeds, he will: "Fine, take the damn gold! It doesn't matter, I'm never playing with that stupid fool again!" If it fails, he'll tell you to take a hike: "If you think I'm going to pay that fool, you're as stupid as he is!"

Alternately, you can pickpocket the gold from Pinot, or (if you're feeling particularly bloodthirsty) simply kill him and take it.

Return the GoldEdit

Bodi's reaction depends on what steps you took to recover his money:

  • If you coerced Pinot into coughing it up, or acquired it by picking his pocket, he'll be happy: "About time too! I don't care what he says, I ain't playing cards with him anymore..."
  • If you actually killed Pinot, he'll react with fear: "What did you do?! Why did you go and kill him over a few lousy coins! Get away from me you maniac, I want nothing to do with you!"
  • If you failed to persuade Pinot, he'll be understandably annoyed: "Well what a waste of time you were then!"
