Captain Fens is an Argonian merchant and captain of The Slough Queen, a ship moored in the Bravil Docks. He is close to retirement and training his son, Fer, to take over his position.
Fens rises at 7am every morning and remains in his cabin for two hours, tending to business. At 9am, he sits down to look over his maps and charts until 1pm, when he takes a break to go ashore and have a pint. He likes to change things up - on Morndas, Middas, and Fredas, he'll go to Vark's Tavern; on Tirdas and Turdas, he hits up the Lonely Suitor Lodge; and on the weekends, he hangs out at the Bravil Bayside Inn. Wherever he goes, he remains there until 4pm, then returns to his cabin and wanders about for another hour. After that, he sits down to read a book for two hours. At 8pm, he heads down to the galley to have dinner with his crew for two hours, then it's back to his cabin to work for another hour before bed at 11pm.
Fens wears a sailor's shirt, leather greaves, boots, and gauntlets, and is armed with a sabre. He carries around a copy of History of the Empire, v1, along with a loaf of bread, an apple, and a bottle of Gron's River Ale.
If you run into him at any point, he'll ask: "Have you seen my useless excuse for a son around anywhere?" If you inquire about his son, he replies: "He's an Argonian named Fer! I'm trying to teach him the ways of the captain, so that one day I may be able to retire with a sense of hope that my business will continue without me... But he is as good at grasping the concept of being a captain as he is good at growing wings and flying away!"
