Janar the Philosopher

Janar the Philosopher is a Khajiit savant who lives in Leyawiin.

He wakes up at 10 am every morning and spends an hour cleaning up around the house. If the weather is nice, he'll sit outside his house and read a book for the afternoon (this is the only time he'll offer services); otherwise, he'll go to the Lazy Cat Tavern to eat. In any case, he'll come to the tavern at 4pm to spend the evening eating; he goes home at 10pm and relaxes until 2am, when he goes to bed.

He wears a green robe and sack cloth sandals, and carries a mutton & radish pie, a bottle of rose & lily mead, a copy of The Sentient Dremora, a moderate amount of gold, and a house key.

Janar's house is located in the Khajiit Quarter, in the north part of the city, right next to the guard tower. The entryway has a bench and cupboard for clutter. The main room is spare, but clean; the right-hand side is a sitting area with a bench, writing desk, and bookshelf. A fireplace and chair take up the middle, and the left-hand side is a dining area with a table and two chairs, counter for meal prep, and shelves for dishes. A small room in the back corner is his bedroom; it has a double bed, dresser, chest, and clothes cupboard.

Janar is responsible for numerous notes placed in various locations around the city: "Oh, you found them. Is that all of them? I don't remember how many of these messages I left, but more than a dozen for sure." When you ask why, he'll tell you: "Wasn't it interesting for you? I leave crumbs of ancient wisdom and joy of living. Is that so bad? Find all my notes, there aren't many more. And I will give you something that is dearer than a cup of wine, a smile from a beauty or a lump of moon sugar. Good luck, friend!"
