Junaus the Wastrel is an Imperial noble who lives in the Arkay Apartments, in the Imperial City Temple District. He is a compulsive gambler who makes a decent living from his pastime.
Junaus sleeps in until 10am every morning and immediately heads to the Arena to bet on the matches. He remains there all day until the Arena closes at 8pm, then he goes to the Arboretum to chat with his fellow citizens and share events of the day. At midnight, he heads over to Pub 102 to celebrate his winnings (or lament his losses) until 4am, when he staggers home to his bed.
He wears a black and burgundy outfit and gold trimmed shoes and a random piece of jewelry, and is armed with a longsword and shortsword that he upgrades every so often. He carries a moderate amount of gold, some sausage on a stick, and the key to his apartment.
Junaus rents the largest apartment on the upper floor of the building. It holds a bed, several wine racks full of wine, a small cupboard, and a bookcase full of books.
If you talk to him, he'll say: "Oh ho! What a match! Hey, did you see the fight between Varen and Astral at the Arena the other day?! It was colossal!" If you say you missed it, he adds: "You poor bastard! It was brilliant! It looked like Varen was going to finish her, but then the girl turned around and cut his bloody head off!" If he's watching a match, however, he's less inclined to engage in idle conversation: "Go on! Rip his bloody throat out you useless pansy! Huh, what? Can't you see I'm watching this? What do you want?"
