Montfort

Montfort is a Breton merchant who runs Montfort's Bakery, a baked-goods store on the upper level of the Imperial City Market District.

Montfort is dedicated to his job and has little time for outside activities. He gets up at 6am every morning and eats breakfast for an hour, then spends another hour getting things set up before he opens the shop at 8am. He remains open until 10pm, then closes up and goes straight to bed.

He wears a plaid shirt, dark blue britches, and quilted shoes, and carries a cheese wedge, a loaf of Aleswell White Bread, and a key to the shop.

Montfort lives in the largest of three apartments above his shop (the other two are for his assistants, Pellinar and Nana). It's furnished with all the comforts of home, including a bed, dining table, dresser, armoire, bookcase, and chest, all of which are high-quality.

If you wander into the bakery during business hours, Montfort will welcome you: "Welcome to my little bakery here in the Imperial City! The name's Montfort, it's a pleasure to meet you." If you ask if it's his bakery, he says: "That's my name on the sign, isn't it? Heh, sorry, yeah, it's my bakery. I'm a little too old now to run it by myself though, so I've had to get two new bakers on to help with the work. And I couldn't have picked a better two! Nana and Pellinar work so very hard, and they're worth every septim they earn." If you come in before the place opens, he'll politely tell you: "I'm afraid the bakery is closed at the moment, we're not taking any customers! Come back when we're open and we'll be more than happy to serve you."
