Waxwing is a Breton archer who lives in her house in Skingrad. She is a Master Thief in the Thieves Guild and is thus a candidate for Rangers Guild recruitment.
When she's not on a job, Waxwing spends most of her time training. She gets up at 8am every morning and spends a couple hours tending to her equipment, then eats breakfast for three hours. She takes an hour to stretch and warm up, then spends some time practicing with one or the other - on weekdays, she goes outside to shoot arrows; archery practice lasts for six hours, after which she comes inside, tends to her equipment, and gets cleaned up, then relaxes for a few hours until bedtime at midnight. On weekends, she goes upstairs to hack on a dummy. She spends only two hours at dagger practice, then spends another hour cleaning and sharpening her dagger. After that, she sits and meditates for an hour, then pulls out a book and reads for the rest of the night until bedtime.
Waxwing wears a leather cuirass, chainmail greaves, and Footpad's Boots. She is armed with a fine steel dagger, fine steel bow, and 50 silver arrows, and carries a copy of Remanada, a piece of boar meat, three fruitcakes, and five blackberries.
Waxwing's house is located on the street right near the gate to the castle. The ground floor is a living area; the main room is curtained off by a hanging screen, with a bench in front of it for visitors. It has a bookcase on one wall, and a pair of shelves in the back corner hold several trophies - a row of helmets and a claymore. A bench and side table sit in front of the fireplace. An alcove at the base of the stairs serves as a work area; it has a small desk, table, and cupboard. The second floor has a large dining table, a food cupboard, and a rack of shelves for storage. The third floor has a training room with a dummy for weapons practice, a bathroom with a large stone tub and cupboard full of towels and soaps, and a small bedroom with a double bed and a rack of shelves holding various possessions. The house has a small basement room, which is accessed via a trapdoor under the desk. It is used for people who need to hide out, or for visiting thieves, and has a bed, chest, small tub, and a grate leading to the sewers.
Waxwing is friendly and always happy to chat: "Call me Waxwing, Archer Extraordinaire! Or just call me Waxwing, as that's my name!" Except for quest-related dialogue, however, she has nothing else to say.
