A Blizzard of Blades

As reality shifts and fluctuates beyond the mysterious portal, I can now only hurt the enemies on the other side with frost damage. Nothing else will affect them.

PreparationEdit

In this event, enemies are only capable of being harmed by frost damage. As such, frost-based weapon enchantments or spells are an absolute must. Frost revenge enchantments can also be used to dispatch enemies by turning their own attacks against them. Resist frost enchantments and potions will also come in handy in terms of survivability.

The first chest, gated off

Unlocking the GatesEdit

Upon starting the stage, you will find yourself in a dungeon filled with an icy blue fog. Immediately, on both your right and left, you will notice two closed gates, one of which contains a Silver chest; the lever to open these can be found later on in the stage. Instead, continue on ahead and open the closed door in front of you. You will soon find yourself in a large two level room occupied by four goblin casters. You will also notice 3 more closed gates. The first on the right contains minor loot; however, the gate second on the right blocks off a room occupied by a wight optional boss guarding a second Silver chest, while the gate on the left blocks the way forward. The lever to open these gates can be found on the second level of the room, directly at the top of the stairs, hidden on the back of a column. Not only will this open the three gates, but also the two in the first room as well; however, be prepared, as two goblin caster optional bosses will have spawned to protect their contents.

Confront the Stage BossEdit

After defeating all the optional bosses and collecting your loot, it's time to confront the stage boss. Make your way back to the second room and take the newly opened path on the left. Defeat three wights on your way to a large room occupied solely by a wight serving as the stage boss. Defeating the boss will complete the stage.

NotesEdit

• Prior to Patch 1.8.1, in what was likely an oversight, only one of the various gates throughout the stage were present, the gate immediately on your right in the two-story room. This could cause some confusion, as not only did this gate only protect some minor loot, but the two goblin caster optional bosses would still spawn to protect the loot you would have likely already looted with ease.
