When approached, she will greet you warmly:
- "Oh, hello. Welcome to our small village. What can I do for you?"
You will then have two different ways of approaching the interrogation. If you choose the first option, you will get straight to the point:
- I'm investigating the murder.
- "Ah, yes. Dreadful business, that. I'm afraid I don't know much more than anyone else."
- I'd still like to hear it.
- "Well, hmmm. Caelinus and his friend Pavo Cominius often ferried goods and people up and down the river. Last time they did, only Pavo came back. He was in shock and didn't talk to anyone. And now he's holed up somewhere. No one's seen him in days. Sorry I couldn't be of any more help."
Meanwhile, if you choose the second option, you will take a slightly more active role in the conversation:
- Just a few questions to answer.
- "Of course, ask away!"
- About Caelinus' death...
- "Such a tragic event. We all liked Caelinus in this house."
- Any idea who killed him?
- "No, none. I doubt it's someone from the village. Probably a bandit, or one of those undead creatures that people have seen roaming the woods. Sorry I couldn't be of any more help."
If you speak to Claire again, she will ask about the progress of your investigation:
- "Hello again. Did you learn anything new?"
- Not really.
- "Oh, that's too bad. Maybe ask Mariana, she's a bit of a gossip."
