Detailed WalkthroughEdit
Once you enter the village you will have to talk to the six villagers, these are Svana, Mariana Lusia, Claire Menoit, Belenus Didius, Agapitus Caprenius and finally Rodulf. You will gain very little information from any of them, except for Rodulf, who offers to help you if you clear out some wolves that have been preying on his livestock.
Rodulf will give you a key to the door in the area before him, open this door and you will encounter six dire wolves, after they have been killed, collect the chest they were near and then return to Rodulf. Once you return to Rodulf, he will inform you that Mariana Lusia should know where Pavo's sister, Tiberia Cominius, is as the two are friends. Head back to Mariana Lusia at the start of the village and talk to her, there she will reveal that Tiberia is in the part of the village behind her and will unlock the gate for you.
Continuing into the new section of the village, you will encounter Tiberia Cominius who will question as to why you're there, explaining that you are looking for Pavo will have her tell you that Pavo is not a murderer and she will reveal that he is in the cave nearby, but to be careful as he is on skooma. Open the cave door by pulling the skull lever behind her, and then head into the cave where you will encounter Pavo.
Pavo will start by muttering apologizes to Caelinus and then proclaim that you are there to take revenge and will begin to fight you, after a brief fight with him, he will ask you to kill him. You tell him that you are not there to kill him and only want the truth, Pavo reveals that the River Snake killed Caelinus as he caught Caelinus and Pavo smuggling on his smuggling routes. After this conversation, the quest will end, but you can choose to explore to talk to Pavo's sister and tell her that he is innocent.
