You have two options with which to reply. The first is:

- "And why should this one even be talking to you?"

- "Well, that's a first! The only time we ever hear about her is when it's time to pay taxes! But Khajiit still doesn't know what you're talking about."

- I'm the champion of the <TownName>.
- "This one has never heard of you."
- I have a warrant...
- "Ooh, a warrant! Well, why didn't you say so. Oh, wait... Svana still doesn't know anything about any murder. Go ask someone else."
The other is:
- What do you know about the murder?
- "Murder? Kajiit [sic] doesn't know anything about any murder. Who are you, anyway?"
- I'm here on behalf of the Queen.
- "Well, that's a first! The only time we ever hear about her is when it's time to pay taxes! But Khajiit still doesn't know what you're talking about."
- The murder of Caelinus.
- "Oh, right. Well, he is dead. That's all Svana knows. Go ask someone else."
If spoken to again, she will say:
- "You again?! Svana has nothing new to tell you, you know."
You once again have two options with which to respond. The first is:
- Are you afraid of talking?
- "This one is afraid of a lot of things, but talking? No. Khajiit just has nothing to say to you."
The other option is:
- I'll find out if you're lying.
- "This one tells the truth. Caelinus went off and got himself killed. Nothing to do with Khajiit."

- I never said it was Caelinus...
- "Ah, well, uh...who else would it be about? He's the only person from this village who was murdered lately."
- So you've heard about it.
- "Of course. But Svana doesn't know who did it, and that's the truth. That's all this one has to say about it."
