Hist Grove was the monthly card for the month of September 2016, during the open beta period. It can be soul-summoned by anybody regardless of participation in ranked. As with all other monthly cards, the premium version was not awarded to anybody and must be obtained through soul-summoning. Additionally, following the month that Hist Grove was awarded, it was also given out as an Arena reward.

- The card is named for the Hist, the mystical trees of Black Marsh.
- The card originally cost 3 and had the ongoing ability "When you have 15 or more max magicka, sacrifice this to summon an 8/8 Swamp Leviathan in each lane."
- The card's ongoing ability was changed in Patch 1.60.1.
- The card's cost was increased in Patch 1.69.0.
