Alfe Fyr was a clone and a daughter of Divayth Fyr, created from his own flesh.[1] She was a powerful and accomplished mage, capable of opening gateways to the Clockwork City.[2] She was one of the caretakers of the victims of the corprus disease,[3] and a contributor to the fall of Mecinar.[2][4] Together with her sisters Beyte Fyr, Delte Fyr, and Uupse Fyr they were collectively known as the Daughters of Fyr.[5]
HistoryEdit
Third EraEdit
Alfe Fyr and her sisters Beyte, Delte, and Uupse were created by Divayth Fyr from his own flesh at some point after he began to study Corprus disease. Although he considered them a little project and a side benefit of his research he was protective over them. Alfe, together with her sisters studied martial arts together with Vistha-Kai, the Warden of Corprusarium. Alfe Fyr was considered the brightest among her sisters, both in wit and tongue, but also the one that's most prone to get into conflicts.[1] Alfe and her sisters were also consorts of Divayth Fyr.[3][UOL 1][UOL 2]
As of 3E 427, she was an accomplished spellsword and inhabited holdings of her creator, Tel Fyr when Nerevarine, who previously contracted Corprus from an agent of the Sixth House and sought out her creator for the cure.[6][7]
Together with Beyte, Delte, and Uupse they took care of the inhabitants of Corprusarium, including the last living Dwemer, Yagrum Bagarn.[3] They typically did not, however, accommodate barbarians or peasants.[8] Following the defeat of Dagoth Ur Yagrum started to regain more memories, despite still showing signs of corprus. As per his request, Divayth instructed Alfe and her sisters to leave him be and allow him more privacy.[UOL 2]
Following Divayth Fyr's meeting with Uriel Septim VII and his return to the Morrowind borders with the Blades escort he shared his stories with Alfe and her sisters, who managed the Tel Fyr during his disappearance. During that time, their holdings were visited by numerous travelers who visited the Tower in hopes of gaining an audience with Divayth.[UOL 1]
Fourth EraEdit
Although it is uncertain if her creator and sisters survived the cataclysms of the Red Year, Alfe Fyr survived and moved to a secluded location near the Mount Anthor in the province of Skyrim.[9][2][10] Some sources imply the survival of her father, however.[UOL 3]
In 4E 201, the Forgotten Hero and a Dunmer sorceress named Laaneth sought out the help of Alfe Fyr. They requested her to teleport them to the Clockwork City. She agreed to help them, but not before sending them on an errand to retrieve a toe of a Frost Troll, a Dwemer puzzle box, and the skull of a living Dragon, which she claimed are necessary to guide them towards the secret realm of Sotha Sil. When adventurers completed the tasks, it turned out that she did not need those ingredients. In reality Alfe hoped that her quest would kill them, but ultimately she honored the deal and reluctantly transported them into the Clockwork City.[11][12][13]
