The Agent, also known as the Hero of Daggerfall, (b. 3E 375)[1][UOL 1][nb 1] was a hero that was sent as an operative of the Empire by Emperor Uriel Septim VII to exorcise the spirit of King Lysandus, but ended up caught in the complex political battles being fought in the Iliac Bay. The Agent would eventually find himself in a power struggle between the Empire, the Orcs of Orsinium, the King of Worms Mannimarco, the various kingdoms of the region, and the mythical Underking himself, all seeking to claim the great Numidium.[2][3]
While it's unknown who the Agent decided to give the Numidium to, its activation would cause the Warp in the West and reshape the political landscape of Tamriel. He disappeared immediately after the Warp, with the Blades having no contact with him despite their efforts to resolve the paradoxical and contradictory reports of the event.[4][nb 2]

- The Daggerfall Chronicles, it is posited that the Agent activating the Numidium with the Totem of Tiber Septim would result in the Agent's death by the colossus' hand. The Numidium would then go on a rampage before being destroyed by the combined efforts of the Empire, Iliac Bay rulers, Underking, and orcs.[2]:188 Although this ending cannot be triggered through normal gameplay,[5] it has been referenced as a part of the canon six endings since the game's release.[6][UOL 2][UOL 3] In
