Wenyandawik is an Ayleid ruin found within the Colovian Lowlands region of the Great Forest, northwest of Bravil in the province of Cyrodiil. For the longest time, it contained one of the Ten Ancestors, religious artifacts that were once displayed at the Temple of the Ancestors. It was among the only modern sites that still bore their ancient names by the time of the Third Era.[1]

HistoryEdit

During the Interregnum in 2E 582, the Three Banners War raged across central Cyrodiil. The ruins of Wenyandawik, along with the area southwest of the Imperial City, were considered part of the Aldmeri Dominion's territory. It was located at the triangulated center of Castles Black Boot, Bloodmayne, and Faregyl.[2] Though the door was sealed by a chained lock, the Ayleid Well on the surface still functioned.[3]

During the Oblivion Crisis in 3E 433, the ruins of Wenyandawik had worn down even further and were plundered by a treasure hunter, who obtained one of the Ten Ancestors for the Ayleid enthusiast, Umbacano, in the Imperial City.[4] At the time, the ruins within were swarming with undead.[5]
