Detailed WalkthroughEdit

A Loss of FaithEdit

You can start this quest by asking about Rumors. You will be directed to Ilav Dralgoner, a priest of Akatosh on the road leading up to Kvatch. Alternatively, you can start this quest by speaking to Ilav directly and asking him about Hope.

Ilav will reveal that he is not just a priest, but a representative of the Order of the Hour. He then explains that people have been disappearing near Anvil, and tasks you with investigating the nearby ruins of Beldaburo.

To BeldaburoEdit

Beldaburo is an Ayleid ruin found north of Crowhaven, near the coast of the Abecean Sea. Although usually a conjurer dungeon, the interior will be crawling with undead when you enter.

You will need to proceed through the first zone until you reach the door to the lower level, Beldaburo Anga. The door is locked and cannot be picked, and your journal will inform you that powerful magic is preventing you from going any further. Indeed, the door will be glowing with shimmering beams of blue and orange light, usually a telltale sign of time magic.

Return to Ilav to report your findings and complete the quest. Due to a bug with the next quest (which will start automatically during the following conversation) you'll propably want to ensure you dismount your horse (if mounted) before talking to him. He will recognize the magical barrier to be the result of a Time Wound, which he suspects is related to an Elder Scroll that had previously been stolen from his Order. This will begin the next quest, Saving Time Itself.

NotesEdit

  • You will only receive the rumor for this quest from NPCs with new voice actors. The new line was not recorded for any NPC that still uses their original voice acting.

10I was told an old priest in Kvatch is losing faith because of mysterious disappearances. I should try to find him.
20A priest named Ilav Dralgoner mentioned an Ayleid ruin, Beldaburo. He says it's where these disappearances are occurring. I must investigate.
30I have arrived near Beldaburo, but nothing looks suspicious outside. I should check inside the ruins themselves.
40A powerful magic is preventing me from going any further. I should tell of my findings to Ilav.
100Finishes quest Ilav mentioned a Time Wound. I do not know much about it, but it is apparently being opened by an Elder Scroll. I must retrieve it at all costs.
Notes
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in random order.
  • If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
  •   It is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering setstage DEAk01 stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages. See SetStage for more information.
