Arentus Falvius is an Imperial sorcerer and Primate of the Great Chapel of Talos in Bruma.
He sleeps in the Chapel Hall every night between midnight and 6am, and then spends the next two hours wandering around either the Chapel itself, the Hall or the Undercroft. At 8am he heads for his favorite second-row pew and spends the next two hours in silent contemplation. At 10am he will again wander around any of the three areas of the Chapel before heading to the Jerall View Inn for lunch at midday. He returns at 2pm for another two hours of random wandering, followed by quick prayers at the altars of Talos and Stendarr and another two hours praying sat at his pew. At 6pm he heads back into the Chapel Hall for a two-hour dinner, which is then followed by four hours of random wandering before his bedtime.
He will offer his services whenever is not eating, praying or sleeping. The only exception to this routine is during stage 20 of Defense of Bruma, when he will skip his worship activities and lunch trip, and restrict his wandering to the Chapel Hall and Undercroft.
He wears a green brocade doublet with a green silk garment along with a pair of green velvet shoes. He carries a Bruma chapel key along with a modest sum of gold.
As a sorcerer and Expert Conjurer, Arentus possesses a wide range of spells all of which are level-dependent. He knows how to summon major Daedra (up to 3 unique spells) and can cast more spells from the Alteration (1 major), Conjuration (1 minor bound weapon), Destruction (1 major), Mysticism (1 major) and Restoration (1 minor) schools of magic. Most of these spells are strongest for Arentus's skill level.
DialogueEdit
Arentus introduces himself by saying
- "Praise Akatosh! Praise the Nine! I'm Arentus Falvius, primate of Talos, High Priest of Bruma Chapel."
- Bruma
- "I'm here to show Bruma's errant Nords the path to the true faith. They must put aside their heathen gods and worship the Nine."

Conjuration TrainingEdit
As an advanced Conjuration trainer, he is one of two people that can start the master Conjuration Training quest by telling you to look for Olyn Seran, once your skill level is above 70:
- Training
- "If you want to train further, you'll have to seek out someone else. There's nothing I can teach you. I've heard of a Daedra worshipper named Olyn Seran. Very powerful, and might be helpful, if you can find him. I heard he had to flee Morrowind, and is now hiding out in the forests of Cyrodiil. If there are other cultists out there, he's probably with them."
- "Find Olyn Seran. Look for him at a Daedric Shrine; that's where he probably is."
RumorsEdit
Arentus has gained quite a reputation among the citizens of Bruma for his ability:
- "I've heard that Arentus Falvius at the chapel can conjure up creatures."
- "Apparently, Arentus Falvius at the chapel is quite a conjurer. He'll even teach the skill to those he likes."
To which others will reply:
- "It hardly seems appropriate for a priest of the Nine Divines, but they put up with it."
- "Seems odd, given his vocation. Still, I suppose there's no harm."
Bruma's denizens may also ask each other:
- "Is it true that Arentus Falvius will teach people conjuration?"
- "Have you heard that Arentus Falvius can summon creatures?"
And reply:
- "It seems an odd skill for a priest."
- "Not your average skill for a priest, but I suppose there are those who will always want to learn."
