Cursed Mine is a medium-sized mine west of Skingrad containing bandits. It contains three zones: Cursed Mine, Cursed Mine Breakdown Chambers, and Cursed Mine Lower Galleries.
NotesEdit
- This mine contains 5 Cairn Bolete plants and 58 Wisp Stalk plants.
- When the Horse Armor official download is installed, a new chest is added next to the easternmost chest marker in the Cursed Mine Lower Galleries. It contains the bugged object Horse Armor Plans. See the plug-in's article for more information.
- This bug is fixed by the Unofficial Oblivion DLC Patches. The chest is disabled and the Horse Armor Plans will be removed from your inventory.
ExteriorEdit

- This location's map marker (M on map) is named Cursed Mine (editor name CursedMineMapMarker). The entrance door is WNW of the marker, 60 feet away.

Zone 1: Cursed MineEdit
This zone is divided into two long pathways; the main route goes straight ahead to the Cursed Mine Breakdown Chambers and the hallway to your right leads to a dead end. Still, it is worth exploring the hallway to your right because you can discover three minor chests here, guarded by a total of four enemies. Be careful, because after you enter the second room through a wooden door, there is a Swinging Mace trap hidden behind it at E.
Once you're done, head back to the intersection and this time head northwest. The first room you encounter is guarded by two enemies and contains one minor loot chest. The second room is also guarded by two enemies and hosts two minor loot chests, one of which is hidden behind the wooden planks at G. Use door C to enter the Cursed Mine Breakdown Chambers.

Zone 2: Cursed Mine Breakdown ChambersEdit
This zone is mostly linear, with a small diversion at the end. The first room you enter is guarded by two enemies, so be careful. The entrance to the second room is through a wooden structure with a tripwire (E) releasing a nasty Falling Log trap (F), which you can avoid or use against the two enemies ahead. Loot the two chests nearby and head up the tunnel to the third room, which is also guarded by a large Swinging Mace trap (G) triggered by the tripwire nearby.
This room contains two enemies, a minor loot chest and the trap door to the Cursed Mine Lower Galleries. Before you enter the next zone, however, take the eastern tunnel to reach the lower level of a large room. Here again a tripwire (E) at the tunnel's exit releases some Falling Logs (F), so avoid them and dispatch the three enemies (including one Bandit Hedge Wizard) nearby. Loot the three chests in the room and return to the previous one to head to the next zone.

Zone 3: Cursed Mine Lower GalleriesEdit
When you enter this zone you will have to fight two enemies in the first room immediately, so be prepared. The second room is much larger, and you can try to take on each of the three enemies one at a time. There are also three minor loot chests in this room and with the Horse Armor official download installed, an additional chest containing a bugged item (see notes above) is placed near the eastern corner.
The third room is the main base of the bandits and is a large room with rubble piled onto the sides and where the center has been dug out and a winding wooden ramp leads to the lower level. The Bandit ringleader (A) can be found in his tent in the northeastern corner, guarding the boss chest (B) and a bedroll (b). Along the western wall you will find an enemy guarding three silver veins and a table with three silver nuggets, while in the lower level you will find two more enemies, a minor loot chest, two bedrolls (b) and another silver vein.
