Mog gra-Mogakh

Mog gra-Mogakh is the Orc publican at the Two Sisters Lodge in Skingrad and sells food and beds. Her sister, Ugak, sells horses at the Grateful Pass Stables outside the city.

Mog serves the Lodge all the time, never eating or sleeping.

She wears a set of middle-class clothing consisting of a quilted doublet, light brown linens and a pair of thick cowhide shoes. She also carries a small amount of gold.

DialogueEdit

Speaking to Mog gra-Mogakh for the first time while in her inn will have her greet you by saying

"I'm Mog gra-Mogakh, proprietor of Two Sisters Lodge. My sister and I own this place. 'Two Sisters', see? Need a bed? Good food?"
Ugak gra-Mogakh
"My sister, Ugak gra-Mogakh, runs the Grateful Pass Stables. She's the quiet one. I'm the talker."

Asking about the city before you start to escort Brother Martin to meet Jauffre during Find the Heir, will have her say:

Skingrad
"Don't count on seeing the Count at the castle. He's a great sorcerer, but he doesn't like visitors."

After you convince Martin to travel with you but before you end the Oblivion Crisis, will have her reply:

Skingrad
"I'm not worried about the Gates. We'll be safe enough inside the walls."
Walls didn't help Kvatch.
"Well. The guards must've been careless. But Captain Dione [sic] has the guard on full alert. We'll be safe."
Maybe so.
"Certainly so. Captain Dione [sic] knows her [sic] business. And no enemy has ever made it over Skingrad's walls."

Asking Mog gra-Mogakh if she has a bed available for the night will have her reply by saying:

Bed
"You need someplace to rest? I can rent you a room for the night for 10 gold."

Claiming that you do not want a room after all will have her accept your decision, and occasionally remind you to speak to her again about this if you change your mind.

Saying that you want a room will have her react angrily if you do not have enough gold to pay for it and happily if you do:

I'll take it.
"No gold, no room. Sorry, but that's the way it goes. I don't make exceptions."
"Okay then. It's upstairs, the room at the west end of the hall. That's to your right when you come out the door. Enjoy."

Asking her about the room while you are still renting it will have her ask if you are enjoying your stay:

Bed
"The bed's comfortable, right?"

Information at a PriceEdit

During the Information at a Price quest, asking Erina Jeranus over at the West Weald Inn about the recently arrived vampire hunters will cause her to sniff:

Vampire hunters
"No one like that staying here, I can assure you. I don't want that kind of clientele. Of course, I wouldn't put it past the Orcs over at the Two Sisters Lodge to rent them a room."

If you ask Mog, she will confirm they were indeed her most recent patrons

Vampire hunters
"A smelly lot, if you ask me, but their gold is as good as anyone else's. We can wipe down the rooms afterwards. They're in here to eat every afternoon, and bed down just before midnight. Outside of that, it's none of my business."

RumorsEdit

Different NPCs have positive things to say in rumors about the Two Sisters Lodge:

"Mog gra-Mogakh runs a fine establishment at the Two Sisters Lodge. And her sister has some quality horses."
"I like the Two Sisters Lodge, and Mog does a good job running the place. She and her sister are both fine people."

To which others will agree:

"The Two Sisters is a fine place, and the two sisters themselves are nice people, too."
"I've always liked the place. Mog does a nice job, although I sometimes confuse her with Ugak."

Indeed, people will remark on how they aren't quite sure which of the two sisters they've just met:

"I saw Ugak gra-Mogakh earlier. At least, I think it was her. Perhaps it was her sister."
"Ugak has some good horses to sell. I sometimes can't tell her from her sister, though."

To which others will reply:

"The sisters are hard to tell apart. It's Ugak you'll want to find if you need a mount, though."

Unused DialogueEdit

Like many other publicans around Cyrodiil, Mog was at one point meant to have multiple topics related to the city she resided in. Three player-only topics still remain in the files:

Opportunities for action?
Best features of Skingrad?
Any advice?

Her Skingrad topic response in the final game appears to be taken from the third topic.

NotesEdit

  • There are five different unused AI packages bearing Mog's name that can still be found in the game files: XXXMoggraMogakhExplore1, XXXMoggraMogakhExplore2, XXXMoggraMogakhExplore3, XXXMoggraMogakhSleep1, and MoggraMogakhSleep. The first package would have had her head to The Great Chapel of Julianos for two hours of worship at 4pm. The second package would have seen her take a two-hour walk around Skingrad at 4am. The third package has no duraction set, and has the inn noted as the relevant cell. The fourth package would have seen her sleep from midnight to 6am, but only specifies the inn cell, rather than a bed. The fifth package was meant to make her sleep in her bed from 1am to 4am, but ultimately, she never sleeps at all in the final game.
    •   The Unofficial Oblivion Patch, version 3.5.2, adds her final sleep package back to her AI list, so that she now sleeps, as she had a bed specifically avilable for this purpose.

BugsEdit

  • Mog incorrectly refers to Dion as female.
  • Mog says your room is at the east end of the hall, but the English subtitles say "west". The hall actually runs north to south, and the room is at the south end.
  • Mog is not a member of the Two Sisters faction despite owning the inn.
