Kathar |
The Temple is a large edifice located at the north end of Kathar, in its own compound. It consists of several areas, as noted below. If you become the High Priest of Kathar (see The Balance of Forces), the temple becomes yours, and you can decorate it as you see fit.

EntryEdit
The main door leads to the entry, which is a large hall lined with pillars. Rows of benches behind the pillars are placed for petitioners to sit while they wait to be seen. A door at the far end of the hall leads to the sacrifice hall.
Sacrifice HallEdit
This is the largest part of the temple, and the place where most activities are conducted. A door from the entry leads to an antechamber, where a large statue of Mephala stands between two arches leading to the temple proper. Two doors at either end of this room lead to the east and west wings. The temple is a huge open space; at the far end, a raised platform sits out over an open pit, into which sacrifices to Mephala are cast.
Sacrificial PitEdit
The sacrificial pit is exactly what it sounds like—a very deep pit. It has nothing of interest besides lots of spiderwebs and a pair of skeletons.
East WingEdit
The east wing is largely empty, except for decorations. It has a dining room on an upper floor, a cage for pets on the lower, and little else of interest.
West WingEdit
The west wing is living quarters. It has several large rooms which serve as a library, a receiving room (where the priest can sit to receive petitioners), a large room with a pool, a music room, and a shrine.
