Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) after inserting CD

Cause - Bad Disc Burning SoftwareEdit

This problem can be caused by incompatible disc-burning software.

Solution: Uninstall your current disc burning software (i.e., Nero) and download updated or more compatible software.

Cause - Bad Disc DriveEdit

This problem can come about in the face of bad optical drive firmware or driver configuration.

Solution: Uninstall the drivers for the disc drive, reboot and reinstall. Right-click on the device in the Windows Device Manager to uninstall the drivers. (The Device Manager can be accessed via the Control Panel, or right-clicking on Computer or My Computer in the Start Menu and choosing Properties.)
