Detailed WalkthroughEdit
An Alcohol AddictionEdit
When talking to Dupineon for the first time, he will tell you:
- "Poor Hannia Kynarius, I have no idea how she deals with her husband's alcohol addiction. That man needs help or their marriage will surely fall apart."
If you inquire with Telimian himself, he will refuse to speak with you but drops a hint to talk to him once his wife isn't around. Wait until she leaves on her daily walks around Stirk and approach Telimian. He'll tell you that he's willing to pay you for any bottle of Surilie wine you can find him.
ProfitEdit
If you decide to take advantage of Telimian's situation, you'll have to start scrounging for bottles. Six bottles of cheap Surilie are to be found on Stirk: one in Therander Polle's house and five in the Kintyra II's lower deck. Six more bottle of Surilie 415 wine are on the island: another one in Polle's house, one in Fort Stirk's ground floor and four in Eulius Manor. Finally, two bottles of Surilie 399 are in Polle's house, who seems to rival Telimian's love for the brothers' wine. Otherwise, you will probably find a few bottles at the various inns and taverns in Anvil.
Telimian will pay you 95 gold for a normal bottle, 120 gold for a 415 one and 170 for a 399. Every bottle you sell him, he will increase the amount by 20 gold. At his seventh bottle, he will have drunken himself to stupor and you won't be able to sell him anymore bottles, effectively ending the quest. Taking this path ensures you a very high reward in gold, up to 1320 coins if you sell him seven 399 bottles.
PityEdit
If you decide to take the elderly gentleman's cause at heart, you'll have to work with his wife. After laying your hands on a wine bottle, proceed to inform Hannia about her husband's addiction. You'll need to do this when he isn't around so again, your best bet are her mid-morning strolls. If you give her the bottle, she'll fill it up with salt water and give it back to you with instructions to sell it to Telimian. Once he takes a sip from the bottle and realizes it isn't wine, he understands Hannia's hand is behind it and promises never to touch a bottle again.
NotesEdit
- If you want to make some cash and at the same time feel sorry for the old man, you can sell him up to six bottles, therefore netting up to 1050 gold as well as Hannia and Telimian's gratitude.
