After failing to find Grida at the apothecary, you can find a note which implies she went to find ingredients to create the bath salts herself. You finally catch up with her at the Darkwater Crossing mill, where she appears to have been transformed into a bloodfiend-like creature. When Grida sees you she will immediately attack.
