The Shard of Chaos is a crystal summoned during combat by Runemaster Xiomara at the Runemaster's Acropolis when he reaches 66% and 33% Health. You must destroy the two Shards of Order flanking it to make it lose its invincibility. They also appear in Aramril's fight in Infinite Archive without the Shards of Order.
