Quick WalkthroughEdit
- Find Parquier Gimbert between Northsalt Village and Westwind Lighthouse and talk to him.
- Search for the vicious Hagraven.
- Retrieve Parquier's lost items.
- Head back to the lighthouse to complete the quest.
Detailed WalkthroughEdit
If you head down the path west from Northsalt Village, you will find a drunk man named Parquier sitting by a bridge. He will cry out, "No screeching! they're all Hagraven and their band of cronies. They can't best Parquier Gimbert! Ugh oh, my head..." Ask him where his shoes are, and he will say a Hagraven tried to hit on him and then took his wife's mace and headed toward the lighthouse. He will ask you to stop the Hagraven before his wife is hurt and recover the mace, a family heirloom.
Cross the bridge heading west toward the lighthouse. Follow the path across a second bridge, and you will see Parquier's wife, Frederique. Ask if she's a Hagraven, and she will guess that you spoke to her husband. She says he's drunk and telling tall tales but that he probably dropped the mace and lost his shoes by the river. She asks you to retrieve them while she waits for her husband to return.
Head back across the nearest bridge and turn south. The items you seek will be on the far shore of the river. Parquier's Shoes are directly south of the lighthouse. The Mace of Doumant Belland is farther east. Be prepared to fight some bandits that roam the shore. When you have collected the items, head back to the lighthouse.
You will see Parquier standing outside. Tell him there was no Hagraven, and give him the mace and shoes. He will deny that the shoes are his but thank you for recovering the mace. Receive your reward and watch the short scene that plays out.
After concluding the quest, Frederique emerges from the lighthouse to give Parquier some proper scolding and remind him to put his shoes on.
- Frederique Gimbert: "There's my brave warrior. As bare-footed as the day I met him! Do you remember anything from last night?"
- Parquier Gimbert: "There you are, my sweet! I battled a Hagraven last night. Or was it a mudcrab?"
- Frederique Gimbert: "Yes, dear. Of course, dear. And what did I tell you about wearing shoes? You promised you'd put them on whenever you left the lighthouse."

I didn't find a Hagraven, but I met Parquier's wife. Frederique Gimbert thinks her husband lost the mace and his shoes somewhere along the river. I'll look for the Mace of Doumant Belland there.

- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
