Detailed WalkthroughEdit
Urri the RedEdit
One of the prisoners in the cells on the lowest floor of Fort Telodrach's East Tower is Kanek the Lean. Speak to him and he will straightforwardly request that you kill Urri the Red for him. Ask him about the topic, and it turns out that Urri sold Kanek out in exchange for a letter of marque making her legitimate. Kanek wants revenge. Agree to help, and he'll offer to share the location of his hidden treasure once the deed is done.
Urri lives in Seastone House in the Port Quarter of Anvil. Her office door is locked (unless you've been here on another quest) so speak to the Argonian, Four-Stones, about Urri the Red with 75+ disposition to get it unlocked. Then talk to Urri the Red about herself. She'll surmise that you're here to kill her, and will offer you 1,500 gold not to. You can accept that bargain, ending the quest, or else offer to kill Kanek for 3,000 gold. That's a tall order, as the man's in a heavily guarded prison cell, but Urri will honor that 3,000 gold request if you succeed. Refusing Urri's offer meanwhile will see her (and the others in the building) attack you.
Kanek's treasureEdit
Killing Urri will count as a crime unless you persuaded her to attack first (for example, by refusing her deal). In the event that you choose to do this however, return to Kanek on completion of the deed. He'll tell you the following instructions to get to his treasure:
"Sail due west. There's an archipelago. Southwest of the big island is a shrine to St. Milica. You only need turn your back on her, and there'll be your treasure..."
The big island in question lies directly west of Anvil, and is the one where the Reman ruin of Carthalo stands. Southwest of this, you will find a smaller island bearing the Shrine of St. Milica. Kanek's Treasure Chest lies under the water directly to the north of this shrine, containing an assortment of gems and ingots of precious metal.
NotesEdit
- Kanek's Treasure Chest can be found naturally outside of this quest, although is not easy to stumble across without directions.
