Polonius Victrus is an Imperial Noble and the steward of Herrius Thimistrel. He stands on the top floor of Thimistrel Manor in Anvil.
Polonius' hand is felt during two Kingdom of Anvil quests as the commissioner behind two incidents that require your investigation. In Ashes of the Missing, he is apparently the 'P.V.' who hired graverobber Talia Ronos to search the urns in a specific chamber of Conomorus Crypt - the chamber laid aside for the future interment of the missing King Claudius. Polonius' name also comes up during The Rumor Mill as the one who paid Notius Alvich to spread rumors of the imminent return of the Shore-King - a near-mythical ruler from Anvil's ancient past.
Later events reveal that Polonius in fact serves the Shore-King, and Polonius will appear at Mischarstette during Prevent the Coup to defend him. Alternatively, if you yourself join the Shore-King's side, you can encounter Polonius as a rare friendly survivor in Thimistrel Manor during Last Salute to the Admiral. Here, Polonius provides an account of how Herrius fought back against the guards that came to arrest him.
