Vari-Vedis Ophilius is an Imperial merchant found in Anvil's Garden Quarter. He is Director of the Anvil branch of the Briricca Private Bank.
As you arrive in the bank, Vari-Vedis has only recently rebuffed one Domenicus Fontanarius, who has been seeking a loan that would allow him and his brother to launch a voyage in search of a western route to Akavir. Vari-Vedis considers the two to have not thought things through properly. You may choose to assist Domenicus in proving that the brothers are indeed prepared, or else warn Vari-Vedis of their inadequacies, in which case he will deny all possibility of a loan.
