Hendraheim

Hendraheim is a Nordic hall player home in the Reach, north of Bilegulch Mine. It lies west of Sunderstone Gorge, southwest of Fort Sungard, and northeast of Lost Valley Redoubt.

The interior layout, books on the shelves, and two of the previous owner's weapons reference Thirsk Mead Hall on Solstheim. Outside of the Dragonborn add-on, this is the one guaranteed place to find Nordic Weapons and certain books.

ExteriorEdit

  • Small stables with multiple sacks and barrels.
  • Multiple harvestable items hanging directly outside the door (salmon, pheasants).
  • Forge, smelter, workbench, grindstone, and wood chopping block near the rear of the home, accompanied by a chest and some barrels.

InteriorEdit

Hendraheim interior

(?) The interior consists of two floors, a large open ground floor and a basement behind a door. On entering, weapon racks flank either side of the entrance. A raised level with rails runs along three sides of the room, with an armory area (mannequins, display cases, weapon plaques) to the right and a dining area (dining table with plates and food, and a hanging rack and shelves of food beyond). There is a single drawer on the right at the back of the room, if one wishes to use it. Down the center, an alchemy table and arcane enchanter stand in the front right corner, with a cupboard that has shelves of ingredients and potions plus an empty drawer below. On the left, stairs lead down to the trophy room cellar. The center of the main room has a large flat square dais with no known purpose. Just beyond that is the cooking spit. In the right back corner is a bar counter, with sweet treats and beverages on the shelves behind it. In the right back corner is a baking area, including an open box with vegetables and a sack, another bar shelf, and the oven itself.

The back room is a small but well-furnished family bedroom. On the left is the children's area, with two owned beds and drawers plus a Child's Doll atop a chest. The back wall is taken up by a writing desk, with a Shrine of Akatosh on a shelf to the left. On the right are a Nordic burial urn and a bookcase. The right third of the room has a double bed with a bench at its foot, a shelf with drawers (named as "drawers"), and wardrobe closely packed into the space.

Several books come with the furnishings, such as Thirsk, A Revised History.

The hall features a downstairs trophy room in the basement filled with display cases, mannequins, weapon racks, weapon plaques, and holders for various unique items. There are two sets of weapon racks on either side of you as you come in, and a total of twelve mannequins positioned around the room. On the left as you come in, there is shelving where you can display all ten dragon claws. On the back wall you will find busts to hold all 14 dragon priest masks. To the left of the busts are three weapon plaques, which belong to Dragonbane, Dawnbreaker and the Mace of Molag Bal. To the right are more plaques for holding the Ebony Blade, Rueful Axe, and Volendrung; beside them, against the righthand wall, are plaques for Auriel's Bow, Auriel's Shield, and Harkon's Sword, and a single plaque above them for the Dawnguard Rune Hammer, Shield, and Axe. Further along the righthand wall is a set of shelves: the bottom shelf holds the Initiate's Ewer, Torsten's Skull Key, Saerek's Skull Key, and the unique "Kolbjorn Skull"; the middle shelf holds the five bugs in a jar; and the top shelf has receptacles for the five Paragons from the Forgotten Vale. Finally you will come to a display board for holding the Dwarven Black Bow of Fate, Champion's Cudgel, Bloodskal Blade, Glass Bow of the Stag Prince, Bloodscythe, Soulrender, and Hoarfrost. Above it is a plaque for Miraak's Staff and Miraak's Sword. In the center of room lies several display cases on a set of drawers and a wooden divider; on the divider, you can place the Shield of Ysgramor and Wuuthrad on one side, and Spellbreaker, the Aetherial Shield, and the Targe of the Blooded on the other.

NotesEdit

BugsEdit

  • A fallen log clips into the wall behind the house.
  • Items on top of the table right from the front door may fall off when the cell loads. ?
  • Multiple weapon racks may not let you retrieve weapons once placed on them.
    •   Workaround: use the console to select the item on the rack and use moveto player to take the item from the frame and place it at the players feet.
    •   Workaround: use the console to turn collisions off, using tcl to toggle, and go around the other side of the wall to retrieve the weapon.
    • Workaround: dual wield daggers, position yourself so you are right in front of the weapon you want to retrieve. Aim your cursor right about where the four nails are on the rack and double power attack into the wall. While in the animation, mash the retrieve button and you should be able to get your weapon back.
  • Some dragon claw racks may glitch and cause claw to place incorrectly, and sometimes sink towards the floor each time you enter the home.
  • Placing some of the unique weapons on the plaques such as the Dawnguard Rune Hammer may cause them to disappear and be lost forever.
  • Children and followers may refuse to enter the home.
  • The Ebony Blade will not place correctly and will fall from the display every time you enter the house.
  • If you place the Wooden Mask on its bust, remove it, leave the house, and replace it, it may disappear, not showing up on the bust or in your inventory. ?
  • The mannequins in the home may constantly cycle through idle animations, only stopping briefly when interacted with. ?
  • After putting items onto racks and plaques, the game will crash during the loading screen when attempting to re-enter the building.
  • Putting armor on a certain mannequin, leaving and re-entering, moving the helmet to a different mannequin, and leaving and re-entering again, will result in the armor not only being on the mannequin you left it on, but also the original mannequin as well. No known workaround.
  • Loading from a save, Hendraheim reloads as an enclosed stone box with only recently dropped loose items available for pick up, does not load on map, no items available, cannot exit or enter, nothing to interact with. Unknown resolution.
