  2. Travel to Solitude Docks
  3. Speak to Sha'khar
  4. Speak to Relius Salvus

Detailed WalkthroughEdit

A courier will give you a note titled Sha'kar's Request to Meet. Read it and then travel to the Solitude Docks and meet with Sha'khar:

"Greetings, friend! You should speak with Chief Trader Salvus. He is most anxious to meet with you."

Meet with Lord Relius Salvus

Speak to Relius Salvus:

"Ah, I believe you're the one I've been expecting. I see Sha'khar's reports weren't exaggerating. Very striking indeed!"
It's nice to meet you.
"Such manners! How very unexpected, and yet delightful."
And you are?
"Ah, you must forgive my lack of manners..."
I'm here to meet someone. I assume that's you.
"Your assumption is correct..."

These all lead to:

"I am Lord Relius Garth, Chief Trader of the East Empire Company. And you are the reason our profits in this region have more than quadrupled! We've experienced great hardship attempting to secure a stable foothold -- here in Skyrim. But thanks to you, we've now a permanent presence in all holds, legally binding contracts with every Jarl... Not to mention, an influx of Nordic curios, revitalizing a once stagnant market. Most impressive!"
I just helped. Sha'khar and Korrin were the ones who planned everything.
"I'm well aware of Mister Sha'khar's and young Master Korrin's contributions. Worry not, they too shall be rewarded."
It was a lot of work, but I take pride in what I've accomplished.
"As you well should. Pride in one's work is what separates a professional merchant from a mere store vendor."
I'm well aware of what I've done. Question is, how do you intend to thank me?
"Hah! How very "mercenary" of you. I can only suppose it's that very attitude that helped you achieve all that you have."

All three options lead to:

"Now, in recognition of everything you've done, please -- accept this small token of our gratitude. And know that from here on in, you are to be considered an honorary member of the East Empire Trading Company."
Thank you, your gift is appreciated.
"You're very welcome."
An honorary member? What does that mean?
"You shall be extended all benefits that any senior trader would receive. Including -- a very generous retirement fund."
What is this amulet you've given to me?
"Ah yes, the amulet. A little trinket that found its way into my collection some years back. I believe it has a number of enchantments, most of which should prove useful to someone such as yourself, I'd think."
I had hoped for more, but I suppose it'll do.
"Now now, excessive greed leads to ruin."

All lead to:

"I will be returning home in a few days, but in my absence –– I'll be leaving behind Senior Traders Sha'khar, and Korrin. I'm sure they'll be able to assist you with any needs. Farewell to you."

This will finish the quest and Sha'khar will speak to you:

""Senior Trader" Sha'khar. This has a pleasant sound to my ears -- I think. I must thank you, my friend. Without your help, I would still be pawing around ruins and bandit camps, attempting what YOU have so skillfully achieved instead. With my new promotion, I will be able to greatly broaden my mercantile presence. Much coin will soon be flowing... My thanks to you again. And of course, my services remain open to you always. Until next time our paths cross, goodbye."

Korrin will also speak:

"Things turned out rather well, wouldn't you say? With our new positions, both I and Sha'khar should have no problems finding buyers for our "products" now... Thank you, for everything you've done."

Quest StagesEdit

East Empire Spoils (kgcEEC_EE04)
Stage Finishes Quest Journal Entry
20 I should read the letter Sha'khar has sent me.
25 A letter from Sha'khar has reminded me that I must find a man named Orthus Endario. He is an employee of the East Empire Trading Company residing in Windhelm, and he requires help.
30 I should read the letter Sha'khar has sent me.
35 The leader of the East Empire Trading Company has arrived in Skyrim and wishes to reward me for my efforts. I must ensure I have completed everything I wish recognized by the Company before I speak to him. Once I am ready, I should make my way to the docks of Solitude.
100 Finishes quest
  • The following empty quest stages were omitted from the table: 0, 1, 10, 38, 40, 50, 60, 501, 502.
Notes
  • Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the Radiant Quest system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
  • If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
  • On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering setstage kgcEEC_EE04 stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the quest using resetquest kgcEEC_EE04.
