Garash gro-Vivec is an Orc Barbarian and a fresh if ill-informed convert to the Tribunal Temple. During the events of the Temple quest, A Troublesome Orc, he has taken to guarding the shrine to the Battle of Bodrum, while painting his face in a mimicry of the god, Vivec.
A former sellsword, Garash was apparently converted to his adoration of Vivec by a memorable encounter with a unnamed knight in glass:
"A Dark Elf clad in glass armor, wielding a wicked and thin blade. She was a whirlwind of fighting styles. I had never seen such artistry with a blade before. I tell you, I thought I was hallucinating, and I passed out from sheer exhaustion right as she felled our last assailant. I came to in a small tent, my wounds healed, with her reading a book and watching over me. I asked her how she came to be in Malahk-Bazul, and what made her come to my aid. She said it was her devotion to Vivec that led her here."
Garash places great store in combat prowess, and will not listen to your words until you have proved your own. He seeks guidance on what to do with his life, and on how best to channel his faith. Teaching him may prove difficult due to his lack of literacy, but he can reach greater understanding of the Tribunal via learning to read.
Once you have persuaded Garash to put trust in your words, you may direct him to various places across Morrowind, including Vivec, Andothren, and even Red Mountain - where he will be killed attempting the death of Dagoth Ur. If you choose to direct him against the worshippers of Malacath, he may later be encountered raiding Hummurushtapi, during the events of Armun Ashlands Avenger.
If directed to Andothren however, he will appear in the Temple there, earning the affectionate favor of the novice, Ravur Othravel, while also becoming available as a travel companion.
