Grurn is a lich who marched out of the Inner Sea with an undead army to conquer the Saros Archipelago and claim the Ward of Akavir.
Fighting GrurnEdit
Grurn wields the magicka absorbing Ebony katana Eclipse and the luck enhancing Ward of Akavir, but is more likely to fight using magic.
Lightning Crown creates between 0 and 8 sparks around Grurn, with the chance of a spark appearing being (50 + Grurn's luck - your luck)%
. Each spark casts Lightning Shield on Grurn (which the lich can absorb) before casting Shock Damage at the player after a delay. This spell synergizes with both the Ward of Akavir and the luck damaging Luck Leach spell, making it a wise choice to stock up on Resist Shock and Restore Luck effects before engaging Grurn.
Once Grurn is down to 80% health, Commander gro-Bogran will be summoned. At the same time Grurn will receive a temporary buff (whose effects might again be absorbed):
Restore Health 20 pts for 5 secs on Touch
Sanctuary 50 pts for 5 secs on Touch
Fortify Luck 100 pts for 5 secs on Touch
Sanctuary 50 pts for 10 secs on Touch
At 60% health, the buff is applied again and Dozhir gets summoned. Likewise, at 40% and 20%, Yavatra and Zariz, respectively, join the fight. Killing a lieutenant before fighting Grurn will prevent it from being summoned, but will not prevent the buff from being cast.
