Ralur Sadrano is the Dark Elf Noble who the residents of Idathren describe as the de-facto mayor of the village, given his ownership of both the manor and the nearby netch farm. He is formally entrusted by House Hlaalu with keeping order in Idathren, and trade flowing along the Thirr River, although since the opening of nearby Hlaalu Ferry, Idathren's own share of this trade appears to have declined.
Ralur appears to be something of an enigma to the people of Idathren. If asked about latest rumors, some will remark that they have no idea what he aspires to, or if he has ever got his hands dirty in the pursuit of ambition. Ralur himself, while rich enough to have purchased his Ebony Shortsword, appears a little lost himself. He'll remark only that he has been in Idathren for what feels like an age, and that he would feel lost without his steward, Belera Veran. It is to her that he delegates the interrogation of Boderi Ulen, believing her to be a potential Indoril spy. This transpires to be true - for according to Boderi, Indoril Ilvi has assessed Ralur to be "a weak link" among his otherwise formidable Hlaalu opponents arrayed on the west bank of the Thirr. Whether this is true or not, it implies that Ralur is acquiring a reputation for weakness among the more ambitious lords of the area.
