Quick WalkthroughEdit

1. Speak to Prince Ji'Morashu-ri in Old Ebonheart about S'Khar-ra.
2. (Optional) Speak to Maurrisha at the Imperial Guard Command Post.
3. (Optional) Speak to Anjzhirra in her store, S'varr in the alleyway, or Dar'Hejo.
4. (Optional) Inform Prince Ji'Morashu-ri of what you've learned.
5. Enter Sewers: East and speak to S'Khar-ra.
6. Either:
   • Convince S'Khar-ra to return through persuasion (requires 65+ Speechcraft).
   • Convince S'Khar-ra to return with an offering of Moon Sugar.
   • Convince S'Khar-ra to return by killing Rothur and Velmu.
   • Fail to convince S'Khar-ra to return.
7. Return to Prince Ji'Morashu-ri for a reward.

Detailed WalkthroughEdit

Within the curtain walls of Old Ebonheart's castle, the Ebon Tower, lies the Elsweyr Mission. This represents a collection of ambassadors from the Khajiit promise. Speaking to one such, Prince Ji'Morashu-ri, will reveal that a second ambassador was kidnapped overnight. The prince is concerned, not least because the second ambassador was his brother. You can offer to help with the situation.

Ji'Morashu-ri mentions reporting the issue to the captain of the city guard, Maurrisha, and suggests asking around the metropolis more generally. Speaking to Khajiit in the city, or Maurrisha, will quickly see you pointed in the direction of the store owner, Anjzhirra, and the beggar, S'varr. You can find Anjzhirra in her store overlooking the square, while S'varr skulks behind the houses in the north of the city. A third Khajiit, Darhejo, who will only be present during the quest Illicit Inspiration, can also provide the necessary information. All three report seeing the Alfiq ambassador carried into shallow water by the city docks, with no boat in sight. You can optionally report this information to Ji'Morash-ri in order to receive some assistance with the quest later on.

Search around the docks to find the entrance to Old Ebonheart's Sewers: East. Enter, and you will find S'Khar-ra in a room in the western end of this area. He has company, and if you speak to S'Khar-ra's companions, they reveal that they believe him to be a simple cat and took him for his ratting abilities. As S'Khar-ra appears to only speak Ta'agra, they have not noticed that he is a sapient being. If you informed Ji'Morash-ri about the sighting of S'Khara-ra earlier, he will have sent a retainer, Iron-Claws Urkhu, who will also appear at this point.

Without Urkhu's help, or without being a Khajiit yourself, you will be unable to understand S'Khar-ra. In essence however, he very much enjoys his ratcatching life, and will require convincing to leave it. With 65+ Speechcraft or a single dose of Moon Sugar you will be able to persuade him. Iron-Claws, if present, will hint at this latter option. You can also kill (or have Iron-Claws kill) the two Dunmer accompanying S'Khar-ra, and speak to him again. If you can understand him, he'll voice his extreme displeasure, but you will then be teleported with S'Khar-ra to the Elsweyr Mission in order to claim your reward - 100 gold and the Amulet of Khajiit Sight.

If you fail to convince S'Khara-ra to return, you can still report his sighting to Ji'Morash-ri, who will give you a reward of 150 gold for your trouble.

I agreed to look for the missing Khajiit ambassador. Prince Ji-Morashu-ri told me that their only lead was that the culprit was a Dunmer, and suggested asking around in Old Ebonheart for any sign of where his brother might be kept.
33		Captain Maurrisha of the Old Ebonheart city watch told me that she had no new leads in the case of the missing prince, but she suggested that I talk to Anjzhirra or S'varr in the city.
35		I was told that a Dunmer had been seen down at the docks carrying an Alfiq Khajiit into the water. Prince Ji'Morashu-ri will be eager to hear about this.
38		Prince Ji'Morashu-ri asked me to look for his brother in the sewers under Old Ebonheart. He believes that there is an entrance to the sewers at the docks, and that may be where the Dunmer was seen taking his brother.
40		I discovered two Dunmer and what looks like a housecat in the Old Ebonheart sewers.
45		I found the missing prince, but he does not want to return to the Elsweyr Mission.
50		I have killed Prince S'Khar-ra's captors.
60		S'Khar-ra agreed to return with me to the Elsweyr Mission.
