Template talk:Online Collectible Summary
Not showing item nameEdit
I've seen this being used for a couple of mount image summaries and it doesn't seem to register the item name but instead reverts to Item Link, for example, the Great Dark Stag. Actually, I'm not sure about the policy for using the template in image summaries, since I've only seen it used for 2-3 mount images.--Talyyn (talk) 18:06, 28 December 2019 (GMT)
Multiple PricesEdit
It's come up in Discord that price changes for mounts like the Nightfall Sabre Cat might get a little complicated or confusing to document in the future. Say a collectible is 1,000 Crowns the first time it releases, then 900 the next year, then the next year it's being sold to ordinary players for 1,200 Crowns, and offered to ESO Plus Members simultaneously for 800 Crowns. My initial solution was to strike through the deprecated prices (preferably using {{ESO Crowns|x|old price}}), but if anybody has insight or suggestions for how to handle this if price changes get way out of hand, feel free to dump them here. I figure readers can read the mount's descriptive paragraph to figure out which prices were offered when, and use the line struck through old prices as an indicator that a number is old. -MolagBallet (talk) 22:12, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
Nickname param not workingEdit
I see from the template documentation that the "name" parameter is deprecated and "nickname" should be used instead. However, "nickname" does not currently work. This is an issue as HoodBot has auto-populated many collectible pages with "nickname", none of which are currently displaying the name data in the summary. Example: [1], [2]. —Legoless (talk) 15:13, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
- I fixed nickname not working. It seems that whenever it was deprecated, we missed a couple of instances and were still looking for
name
instead. – Robin Hood (talk) 16:22, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
