This is an archive of past UESPWiki:Vandalism discussions. Do not edit the contents of this page, except for maintenance such as updating links.
  • IP addresses 62.171.194.4 - 62.171.194.13, 62.171.194.36 - 62.171.194.45 have been blocked and set to expire in one week, in response to vandalism from Danbrock and Shaun Cowell. I don't know if Daveh enabled range blocking or not, but I blocked these twenty using six CIDR notation IP blocks. If they still can edit before the block expires, I'll have to spam the block list with those twenty addresses in standard format. (more info on CIDR) --Aristeo 11:33, 28 September 2006 (EDT)
(Thanks User:Noran the Axe and User:ChadFromCky for reporting this vandalism --Nephele 15:46, 15 September 2006 (EDT))
Since this is another case of page link spamming, and therefore it seems unlikely that this account was setup for any legitimate purpose, I decided to block the account indefinitely --Nephele 11:20, 12 September 2006 (EDT)
Evidence - It wasn't standard vandalism, it was links to pornographic websites, probably to take advantage of our page rank. This is why he/she was blocked immediately. --Aristeo 16:14, 25 August 2006 (EDT)

Penniless Olvus

Possibly coincidence, as the name is that of a beggar in the game, but one of the vandalisms that KnucklesUK did was on the Penniless Olvus page. QuillanTalk 18:22, 23 August 2006 (EDT)
A check user has been done on Mr. Olvus, and he is also from the UK. --Aristeo 11:17, 24 August 2006 (EDT)

Chuckenfucker

Illusion

  • Illusion (talk · contribs · page moves · block user · block log). So far all he has done is create a page of nonsense. I've posted a warning on his talk page; hopefully that will be enough to discourage him from further non-constructive contributions. --Nephele 11:33, 16 August 2006 (EDT)

THE ULTIMATE PIMP

Hellzblade

Hellzblade (talk · contribs · page moves · block user · block log) - Administrative action needs to be taken with Hellzblade for vandalizing the Oblivion:Glitches page. His vandalism has been reverted by me, and a warning was placed on his talk page. Check out his contribution page for the vandalism done by him so far. --Aristeo 11:58, 29 May 2006 (EDT)

He's again out on the lose! I had to revert his vandalism on UESPWiki:Editing and Oblivion:Character Creation. Sombody stop him! --DrPhoton 03:27, 26 June 2006 (EDT)
I blocked him. His vandalism appeared to be fixed by the time I arrived on the scene. :) --Aristeo 10:57, 26 June 2006 (EDT)

Murphyknows

Murphyknows (talk · contribs · page moves · block user · block log) - The latest vandal of the Oblivion:Glitches page is Murphyknows. I've reverted the page to the previous version. Check out his contribution page for the vandalism done by him so far. --Nephele 17:40, 5 June 2006 (EDT)

Added a warning to his talk page. Thanks for catching this. --Aristeo 22:39, 5 June 2006 (EDT)

Iscrewthingsup

Iscrewthingsup (talk · contribs · page moves · block user · block log) - Deleted a bunch of stuff out of Oblivion:Glitches and its associated discussion page. Given the nickname the guy's using, I think we can safely assume he has nothing of value to contribute. Hopefully just a one-time thing, but keep an eye out for this guy. --TheRealLurlock 20:53, 20 June 2006 (EDT)

Eggon

Eggon (talk · contribs · page moves · block user · block log) - For the vandalism of the Oblivion:Troll Candle Camp, I put the warning template on his talk page. Right now, it's his only contribution. --Aristeo 23:20, 29 June 2006 (EDT) Actually, Eggon's last two contributions have been constructive, and the vandalism was marginal. So Eggon may warrant reconsideration.--Nephele 20:56, 4 July 2006 (EDT)

Looks like his edits recently have been in ... good faith, but he still needs to be watched. --Aristeo 10:27, 15 July 2006 (EDT)

KnucklesUK

KnucklesUK (talk · contribs · page moves · block user · block log) - This knucklehead created a whole page of ugliness at Penniless Olvus. I've emptied the page for now, and I'm requesting the page just be deleted so we can start the page over. I've also placed a warning template on his talk page. --Nephele 17:28, 14 July 2006 (EDT)

"Thanks, Garrett, for jumping on that delete request so quickly. That delete function is pretty nifty: all of this guy's 30-odd posts this afternoon have now just disappeared and aren't cluttering up the Recent Changes page any more!--Nephele 17:52, 14 July 2006 (EDT)
Eww... I looked at that page on the deleted page archives, and it looked pretty bad. Think we should go straight to a block? --Aristeo 18:56, 14 July 2006 (EDT)
Yep, he just put up a bunch of homophobic references on the weapons, quests, and potions page. Even made an entire quest page for what he called the Order of the Gays. I deleted all that I could find, but I can't block him. QuillanTalk 09:40, 15 July 2006 (EDT)
I've deleted his created pages, and I've reverted all of his contributions that weren't already reverted. I've also set an infinite block on his account. He won't be a problem anymore. :D --Aristeo 10:23, 15 July 2006 (EDT)

Nigger

Nigger (talk · contribs · page moves · block user · block log) - A user with an inappropriate name tried to blank page the site. He was blocked by me upon notification of his deeds, and infinitely.--Aristeo 13:09, 20 July 2006 (EDT)

Do you block the user name, or the IP address? If it's the former, what do you think is the likelihood that this one is one of the previously banned folks coming back for "revenge"? QuillanTalk 15:14, 20 July 2006 (EDT)
Blocking a username will block the IP address that goes with it. --Aristeo 18:23, 20 July 2006 (EDT)
Not sure if this is what Quillan means, but more than likely his IP is dynamic and changes whenever his ISP has it set to do so. In that case he could have a new IP every day or 12 hours, he could also release and renew his adapter on his end, unplug his modem and hope it renews itself, or if desperate enough use a proxy. The username/associated IP wouldn't come close to stopping a determined disgruntled person from making a new account or five and hosing things down again. --AlbinoMudcrab 09:48, 28 July 2006 (EDT)
