Do you have any sources for the info about "subharmonic oscillations" and the sundering of Solstheim producing geodes? I can't find any info on it. The one reference only supports Solstheim's supposed split from the continent, nothing about geology. —Legoless (talk) 00:42, 25 March 2013 (GMT)

I have used the phrase "constant audible and subharmonic oscillations" to explain the noticeable sounds that occur in-game in Blackreach. If you have traveled there, you will no doubt know to what I am referring. As for your comment above about the "sundering of Solstheim producing geodes", that's not quite what I said. The sundering, of Nordic legend, could explain why such diverse gemstone geodes as ruby and emerald exist in close proximity to each other. Being that, if such an event had occurred, the geology of Solstheim may have been scrambled in the process, and the minerals necessary for forming rubies could end up closer than would occur naturally to the minerals required for forming emeralds. I never said the "sundering" caused the gemstone geodes.
It's all academic at the moment anyway, as work on this page has stalled due to ongoing discussion about whether the page even needs to be created. Darictalk 05:14, 25 March 2013 (GMT)
That kind of speculation doesn't belong on articles. If there's nothing factual to say about the geodes, it's best to say nothing at all. —Legoless (talk) 13:06, 25 March 2013 (GMT)
Fine, I won't. Daric 07:24, 26 March 2013 (GMT)

And so began, and ended, my editing of articles in gamespace on the UESP wiki. This page remains as a reminder of why I don't bother writing articles for the UESP wiki any more, preferring to stick to my Elder Scrolls-related fan fiction writing instead.
