Edit SummariesEdit

Hello RubyRanks

I just wanted to add a note to emphasize the importance of using edit summaries, especially when deleting information from articles as you did recently. Without a rationale for a deletion, other editors or patrollers may revert your edits as an "unexplained deletion" if they are not familiar with the subject matter or the possible reasons behind the deletion. As it was, I had to look up Falura Llervu's dialogue and deduce that you had deleted the sentence you did because you felt that the dialogue was not necessarily factual but was possibly something she was given to say by Savile Imayn. Providing a short edit summary (or a longer explanation on the article's talk page) will allow other editors to more easily follow the reasoning behind your edits.

Thanks again for your interest in contributing to UESPWiki, and enjoy your stay! — Wolfborn(Howl) 07:00, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

Sorry. Thanks for pointing it out.

No problem. :) And as I expected, another editor has gone and reverted your edit. I'll move the disputed line to the article's talk page for further discussion.
Also FYI, as a matter of talk-page etiquette, if I (or any other user) posts a message on your talk page, your reply should appear on your talk page. If you post a message on another user's talk page, replies will be found on their talk page. That way discussions stay on one page and are easily visible to all users. Remember to indent your replies using colons and use one more colon than the previous reply. Also remember to sign your posts using four tildes (like this: ~~~~) or by using the signature button at the top of the edit window. Cheers. — Wolfborn(Howl) 08:43, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
