Blue Sands Housewares is a shop on the upper level of the Imperial City Market District that sells all manner of household items ranging from exotic glassware from Elsweyr to more mundane pots, pans, and flatware. It is located directly above Red Diamond Jewelry. The proprietor, Jira, has 600 gold and a Mercantile skill of 30. She buys and sells miscellaneous items.
The shop is small and has the intimate feel of a high-end store. Shelves along one wall hold various sets of dishes; a table to the right holds a few bolts of fabric and brass tea kettles. The counter is located at the rear; two blocks of stone on it display various soaps and a set of silver flatware, while more shelves behind it hold more exotic goods. A door behind the counter opens onto the store room, which is packed full of crates, barrels, cupboards, and chests.
A set of stairs leads up to Jira's private quarters, which are large and well-appointed with high-end furnishings. Two large rugs cover most of the floor, and several tapestries hang on the walls; she has a bed, dresser, armoire, dining table, and two tall bookcases filled with books and odds and ends.
