Capito the Preacher offers religious writings at his stall in the Imperial City Waterfront Tunnel

Capito the Preacher is an Imperial pilgrim who lives in the Converted Checkpoint Apartments. He is a bookseller and has a stall in the Waterfront Tunnel.

Capito gets up at 6am every morning and spends an hour at his altar, praying to Tiber Septim. At 7am, he goes to his undermarket stall to open for business. He remains there until 9pm, except for a two hour break at noon, when he goes to Juno's Guesthouse for lunch. On Middas, Loredas, and Sundas, he attends worship services at The Temple of the One for three hours after lunch, then returns to his stall. After closing up for the day, he returns to his apartment and spends an hour at evening prayers before he goes to bed.

He wears a tan robe and sack cloth sandals; he carries the key to his apartment and some dried fish.

He has a small apartment, which is bare except for a bed, sack, lectern, and an altar to Tiber Septim.

Capito is a fervent believer in the Nine Divines: "Blessed! Blessed are you who have come to me for guidance in these dark times! For you, and you alone, have had the courage to accept the love of the Divines into your heart, for that alone shall be your salvation!" Even if you haven't done anything, he urges you to repent: "Rise, rise up my child! For today, you have been saved! Saved from the terrible fate of all those who shun themselves from the light of righteousness! The great Divines smile upon those who would walk the path of justice, and good! And today, you have just taken your first step down this path, this holy path of blinding light!" If you tell him you're leaving, he remains undeterred: "Leave! Leave if you must, but if you leave, you are not leaving only myself, but your destiny, your fate, even the Nine Divines themselves! If you leave this day, you leave behind this chance for redemption! The path you take now is the path that will lead to your place of resting for eternity! Only Oblivion awaits for you!"
