Duke Agrivaine heads to the upper deck

Duke Agrivaine is a High Elf noble from Summerset Isle. He has come to Cyrodiil with his wife, Duchess Giselle, and Lord Kildred and Lady Trivelda on their ship, The Gilded Duckling, to tour various cities. Currently, they are moored in the Bravil Docks.

Since he's on vacation, Duke Agrivaine stays up late and sleeps in. He wakes at 9am and spends two hours getting dressed. He sits down for a late breakfast/luncheon at 11am with his wife for another two hours, then wanders about below-decks. At 6pm, he sits down to dinner with his wife and their guests for three hours, after which they play cards for another four hours until 2am. By then, he's worn out and retires to bed.

He wears a gold outfit and gold-trimmed shoes; he carries a key to the ship and some crab meat.

When you first meet him, Duke Agrivaine expresses surprise at you being on his ship: "Hello, what are you doing here?" He is, however, willing to answer questions about:

  • The captain: "Why do you ask? This is my ship, I own it. I left Captain Aldaril back on Summerset Isle. Are you some sort of Port Authority?"
  • The ship: "Which one, I have several? Of course, you're probably asking about this one we're on right now. This is The Gilded Duckling, my secondary luxury "yacht", for when I want to go abroad in comfort."
  • Bravil: "Well, it's hardly a desirable locale, is it? Most of the town's rotting away. The castle and its gardens are jolly good though, very well maintained."
  • Leyawiin: "Gosh, well! I barely saw the damn place, did I? Too much hassle from the Port Authority. And it was jolly hard navigating this ship into the Lower Niben. The Count really needs to deepen and widen the waterway there."
  • Lady Trivelda: "A fine woman. She was a minx when we were children, always getting us into trouble! Oh, we grew up together in Shimerene, you know?"

NotesEdit

  • After completing the quest Strange Bedfellows, if The Gilded Duckling has sailed away from Bravil, then it will no longer be possible to meet Duke Agrivaine.
