Yana is an Imperial thief who lives in her house in Bravil. She rises at 7am every morning; her routine varies from weekdays to weekends: On Morndas, Middas, and Fredas, she'll visit the Mages Guild then goes to Silverhome on the Water to chat with Gilgondorin for the rest of the morning. At 1pm, she heads over to the Swamphole to eat lunch for three hours, then she leaves to wander around near the main gate. At 8pm, she returns to The Swamphole to sit and drink for four hours before she goes home to bed. On Tirdas and Turdas, she goes for a walk around town for a few hours, then goes to Silverhome on the Water. After that, she'll wander the plaza in the center of town for four hours, then go to the Mages Guild at 5pm for dinner, after which she goes to The Swamphole to sit and drink for four hours before she goes home to bed. On weekends, she wanders around her house for three hours, goes to the chapel to read a book for a few hours, then returns home for the rest of the afternoon. At 7pm, she goes to The Swamphole to drink wine until midnight, then returns home and goes to bed.

Yana wears a chain shirt, iron greaves, and leather boots, and is armed with an iron dagger; she carries a spare shirt, a pewter mug, two wedges of cheese, five pieces of crab meat, a copy of The Moon's Blood, and a house key.

Yana's house is a large two-story affair located on the western side of Bravil, behind the Lonely Suitor Lodge. The ground and upper floors are nearly devoid of furniture; in fact, it's apparent she doesn't use the ground floor at all - it has nothing but several crates and barrels, all covered with a liberal layer of dust and cobwebs. The upper floor has a double bed, table and chair, and some containers for storage. The basement is more akin to a vault than anything: the place is liberally strewn with piles of gold coins, gems, baubles, and rare weapons and armor. A throne-like chair sits against one wall, looking out over all the riches.

If you talk to her and haven't bought the house for sale in Bravil, she'll greet you happily: "I just placed myself here. Waste some time. Why? Do you want to give me a hand on that?" If you reply that Bravil is boring, she agrees: "Right. Bravil is no shiny spot for a girl like me. But where is my hero coming for rescue?" You can reply that rescues are your specialty: "I know who you are, and the stories about your adventures just missed something, I see. Your handsome countenance." or that she IS Bravil: "You are so cute." In either case, you can continue the flattery, which leads to asking her to accompany you someplace quieter: "I am actually not so easy to have, but not to take my chances would be a very regretful decision. I got a home right over there. It's maybe not like the places you are used to seeing, but has a very, very private atmosphere. Just follow me..." She'll take you back to her house, where you can share her bed. At any point, you can drop out of the conversation by telling her you're not interested, in which case she'll be disappointed: "Oh. So I guess I have to live on in my misery."

Once you've slept with her once, she'll disavow any knowledge of you: if you try to talk to her again, she'll merely give you a random insult and refuse to say anything further.
