The Jerall View Inn

The Jerall View Inn is a large, upper-class inn in the western district of Bruma. It is located between the Jucani mansion and Stenar Ceno's house, overlooking the Cathedral of St. Martin. The inn is run by Stantus Faleria and his wife Hjotra, assisted by Lassinia Iron-Heart.

It is renowned as one of the finest establishments in Cyrodiil, priding itself on its exceptional standards of customer service and food quality. In addition to traditional bed and board, the inn also offers its customers access to its bathhouse. Upon first entering, you will be greeting to a truly horrific performance by aspiring bard Renod Even-Toned, before he is summarily dismissed by Stantus and replaced by Ambric.

Stantus is the source of many rumors as well as bounty quests. Him and Hjotra are also in need of couriers to collect shipments from Applewatch and Greenwood, while Alammu Nethre is looking for help in recovering a family heirloom.

WalkthroughEdit

Jerall View InnEdit

On the terrace just outside the inn, overlooking the cathedral and market, are a few tables with food and drink. A wood-chopping block is also nearby. The main room of the inn is centered around a large square bar replete with food and drink. In the inner shelves you will find an apprentice-locked small chest, a lute and two coin purses. Wooden tables laden with food and drink line the walls and host Bruma's wealthy denizens. Two small rooms can be found behind the bar: the first containing mead vats and barrels; the second serving as a kitchen and pantry, with a cooking spit and oven, as well as raw food and salt piles.

To the right of the entrance is an alcove with a fireplace where you will find Alammu Nethre, as well as stairs leading to the basement. To the left are a second set of stairs leading down and a shelf with a draught of haggling, a potion of resist fire, a copy of The Collected Works of Miki Aia, and a horker tusk. Up the stairs to the west are the Falerias' living quarters. Here you will find a double bed, a chest, a copy of The Merits of Shrieking Cheese, two potions of minor healing and one of minor magicka.

Jerall View Inn BasementEdit

Inside the bathhouse

The basement holds three rooms, including the one you can rent from Stantus for 10 gold. This is the room in the southwestern corner, and contains a double bed, an expert-locked chest, a wardrobe, a set of drawers and a copy of the Black Horse Courier. In the southeastern corner is a second room, with a double bed, wolf and brown bear pelts and a wardrobe. The third room, in the northeastern corner, hosts a double bed, an expert-locked chest, a philter of light feet, a bottle of poison and two bottles of flin. The corridor linking them all also allows access to the bathhouse, and in the bookshelves lining its walls you will find, among others, copies of Knightfall, Last King of the Ayleids, Lorkhan the Charlatan, Remanada, The Red Book of Riddles, The Wild Elves and Where were you when the Dragon Broke.

Jerall View BathhouseEdit

The dimly-lit and misty bathhouse hosts two large stone tubs of steaming water, heated by a hot, burning fire. You can sit in them to enjoy the warm water as well as the company of shadowy revolutionary Bathes-in-Murky-Waters. Lying on tables around the bathhouse are an adept-locked strongbox, clothes, towels, some drinks and a copy of the Black Horse Courier.

Standard MerchandiseEdit

This is the merchandise found in the inn's Merchant Chest. These items are only available if purchased from the merchant; they cannot be pickpocketed or stolen. They are restocked every two days.

NotesEdit

  • There is a "Loot" shadowmark carved into the stone to the left of the entrance.
  • A note in the main common room advertises the inn's fares.
  • The Jerall View Inn also appeared in Oblivion.
