Lassinia Iron-Heart, an Imperial ranger, is a servant at the Jerall View Inn.
Her husband, Harran Iron-Heart, is an imperial soldier stationed at Fort Pale Pass but has been missing for a few months. Both she and her daughter Ellina will ask you to help find him. After your investigations reveal Harran had defected to the Stormcloaks before being killed by the Thalmor, you can choose to either tell Lassinia the truth or lie about his fate.
Lassinia wakes up every day at 8am and after a quick, one-hour breakfast she heads over to the Jerall View Inn to start her work shift. Between 9am and midnight she can be found busying herself in the inn or chopping wood just outside, while also serving food and drink. After a quick bite, she will head back to her father Sellus's house to sleep.
Lassinia wears Cyrodiilic merchant clothes and a pair of boots. She also carries a gold ring, the keys to the inn and to her father's house and a random selection of gold, lockpicks, rings, food and drink.

RumorsEdit
If you meet her daughter Ellina running around town, she will tell you about her missing father, Lassinia's husband Harran. She will also give you a bit of background on Lassinia:
- "Lassinia Iron-Heart. She told me that she used to be called Lassinia Prelius, but then she married dad. She works at the Jerall View Inn. I don't think she likes it there, but she says she has to "make end's meat." Whatever that means. Who's End, and why does he need meat in the first place?"
When asking her about her grandfather, she hints at some tensions between mother and father:
- "Sellus Prelius. Mommy says it's a strong Imperial name but I like my name better. It means I have a strong heart. Mommy must like it better too because she uses it even though it makes grandpa mad."
Quest-Related DialogueEdit
If you already bumped into her daughter in town, you can ask her:
- Are you Ellina's mother? She asked me to find your husband.
- "Oh, that girl. I hope she hasn't been too much trouble. Yes, she's mine and Harran's... well, used to be, at any rate. Recently, she's just been mine."
Alternatively, if you speak to her directly, she will say:
- "...What can I get you? "
- Tough day?
- "I just wish my Harran was here. He would always make these long days seem much shorter. I'm sorry, don't mind me. Just a soldier's wife missing her husband."
Either way, she will continue:
- What happened to your husband?
- "He was stationed at Fort Pale Pass but we haven't heard anything for months. None of the soldiers passing through here on leave have seen him either. I've sent letter after letter, but they still haven't told me anything. I have no idea where he is, what happened to him or if he's even still alive."
- Fort Pale Pass?
- "The Imperial fort placed right on the border to Skyrim. Mostly watches for illegal border crossing."
- Have you tried to contact him directly?
- "Yes, many times. I've sent letter after letter but heard nothing. I can send as many letters as I want, but if Harran isn't even at the fort, then he's hardly going to see them, is he?"
- Good luck finding him.
- "Oh... well, thank you."
- I could look for Harran.
- "You would? I'd be indebted to you if you did, stranger. Like I said, he is - was - garrisoned up at Fort Pale Pass, it's right on the border to Skyrim. Good luck - and please, stranger, I beg of you - find my Harran."
Accepting will start Upon My Honor. Once you discover Harran's body and his betrayal, you can choose to tell her the truth, against Sellus's wishes:
- I found this on Harran's body east of Pale Pass. I'm sorry, he's dead.
- "I... I see. I never thought Harran would join the Stormcloaks, but this journal... ...he was a soldier, so I always knew the worst could happen... but this..."
- He was trying to protect you and Ellina. / The Stormcloaks stand for the freedom of Skyrim. He was a true Nord.
- "Yes... I can see he believed that. I just wish he would have spared a thought for his family before standing against the Thalmor."
- He was a traitor to the Legion and all that it stands for.
- "I may not be a soldier, but I'll make you bleed if you don't watch your tongue. Whatever else he was, Harran was a good man. Ellina should know that her father fought for what he believed in."
Alternatively, you can heed Sellus's request and lie to her:
- I'm sorry, but he was killed by Stormcloaks trying to cross the border. (Lie)
- "Oh... no... I've feared this day since he took his oath. My hard-headed father forced him into this and now he's gone. Curse Sellus, I don't know if I can stand living under his roof any longer."
Should you attempt an approach, she will instead be furious and refuse to speak to you further:
- You could always come live with me. I've a warm hearth and a warmer bed.
- "You foolish... I'm a widow for less than a minute and you wish for me to warm your bed? I thank you for finding Harran but I no longer wish to speak with you."
Otherwise you can say:
- A pledge to the Empire is a pledge to protect its people - you and Ellina too.
- "You sound like a soldier, but I suppose you're not wrong."
- It's not Sellus's fault. He seems to care deeply for you and Ellina.
- "Maybe so, but I know he thought Harran was an oaf. He never thought he was good enough for me. My father thinks the greatest thing a man can achieve is to become a soldier - to heroically fight for his country."
- Is he wrong?
- "I think so... At least, I know that I would much rather have a living husband than a dead hero."
- So you blame Sellus?
- "I want to. I really want to, but I know in his heart he thought he was helping Harran."
Either way, she will say:
- "It's not as though Sellus forced Harran to enlist. He wouldn't have done it unless he truly thought he was making a difference. Thank you for finding him. Thank you for everything."
Finally, she will gift you gold:
- Now that you know about Harran, what will you do?
- "Ellina told me what happened, what you found. I'll do the only thing I can do. Grieve with my family and try to move on. Despite this... despite what happened, we owe you our thanks. If not for you, we would never have known his fate. Please. Take this. It used to belong to him... to Harran. I don't want it anymore. You might get some use out of it, at least."
