The Gold Coast Trading Company (GCTC),[1] was a company that was a seller of goods, during the Second Era. These goods included dangerous creatures, imported from other areas of Tamriel.[2] As their name suggests, they operated in the Gold Coast. Before her assassination, the famous pirate Fortunata ap Dugal rose in the ranks to become a powerful shipping magnate in the company.[3]
In the years prior to the Three Banners War in the mid-Second Era, Gold Coast Trading Company had a significant role in the construction of the House Hlaalu settlement of Seyda Neen.[4] Despite Gold Coast's role in the village's growth it was administered and protected by House Hlaalu.[5]
The Gold Coast Company was also responsible for distributing Crown Crates around Tamriel, which included experience scrolls, potions, and poisons produced by the Company.[6][7] Some of the contents rewarded by the crates were smuggled items that appeared on the open market, such as vamidiums smuggled out of the vaults below Arcane University.[8] The crates were delivered by Pacrooti and sold for Crowns, with the Crown Gems being rewarded in exchange for unwanted rewards.[9]
