Saint Llothis the Pious is the Dunmeri patron saint of Tailors and Dyers and the patron saint of House Dres.[1] Contemporary and companion of the Tribunals, and the best-loved Alma Rula of the Tribunal Temple, he formulated the central rituals and principles of the New Temple Faith. Saint Llothis is the symbolic mortal bridge between the gods and the faithful, and the archetypal priest.[2][3] Llothis was canonized by the Tribunal, and shrines to him could be found in Tribunal temples. His crosier is now a prized relic of the Tribunal Temple.[4]

While they were alive, saints Llothis and Olms were known to ride through the Brass Fortress during the parades on holy days on fabricant Nix-Ox mounts.[5]

When close to death, Sotha Sil placed Llothis's soul into a modified black soul gem which was then brought to the Asylum Sanctorium, in the Clockwork City, and installed in a giant factotum body to make him immortal.[6] Unfortunately, the process eventually drove him to madness, which manifested as a deep depression over the seeming loss of his spiritual connection to the Tribunal.[7] His soul was released from the factotum body in 2E 582,[8] and was later transferred into the Crosier of St. Llothis.[9]

All Temple shrine offerings grant cures of common diseases, of blight diseases, and of afflictions of poison. Offerings made to the shrine of Saint Llothis additionally grant Rock of Llothis, for fortifying the will.[10][11]

In 3E 427 the Captain of the Buoyant Armigers took the Crosier of St. Llothis into battle against Dagoth Ur's forces on Red Mountain. To protect his retreating subordinates, the Captain mounted a last stand near Dagoth Ur's citadel, and the staff was lost.[9] The crosier was subsequently recovered from there for the Temple by the Nerevarine.[4]

There is a tailor shop called St. Llothis' Garments in the Royal Bazaar of Mournhold.[12]
