WalkthroughEdit

After completing Ancestor Curse, you'll find that you can't sleep - it turns out that Sahaula has cursed you. Luckily, there's a cursebreaker named Talvanus in Kathar. If you haven't killed him, he'll tell you about the curse and how to get rid of it (otherwise you'll find a note with the same information). You'll have to track down the location of Sahaula's body, but she's been cremated - so, you'll have to speak to her spirit directly. To the east of Kathar is a place called the Gate of Spirits; go there and apologize to Sahaula's spirit, and the curse will be lifted.

10 I can't get back to sleep. It's like a curse lays on me. Maybe I should try to get it somehow on the series.
20 In Talvanus' house, I found a book that suggests that I'm haunted by a tortured spirit. I believe that Sahaula, the wife of the accursed Mauren, is behind it. In the book, it says that the only way to get rid of her is an apology. So, talk to her corpse and speak a few words of apology. (If Talvanus is dead) or

30 Sahaula's coffin in the Ferroul crypt is empty. Where could she be? Perhaps the Ferrouls still have descendants in the city that I could ask about this? I should return to the Ferroul's house again.
40 I've found out that Sahaula's only descendant is a Dunmer named Paulor Thedrig.
50 Paulor told me that the Thedrigs could not bear to see her in the same grave as her killer. They took the body and burned it, as was customary in her family, and her ashes were spread in the desert. Maybe the book that I found in Talvanus' house can help - since there's no body, I am relatively clueless. (If Talvanus is dead) or

60 According to the book I found in Talvanus' house, far to the east of Kathar is a place called the Gate of Spirits. One should supposedly be able to speak to the spirits of the desert there. (If Talvanus is dead) or

70 Finishes quest  I met Sahaula at the Gate of Spirits. She did not seem particularly talkative, but when I apologized to her, she disappeared. I believe that her curse on me is now banished and I can sleep peacefully.
Notes
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in random order.
  • If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
  •   It is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering setstage ODDKatharFluch2Quest stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages. See SetStage for more information.
