WalkthroughEdit
Alberto has a new job for you - this time, he's after the sword that belonged to the Order's founder, Andalis. He's heard that someone will be meeting with Paulor Thedrig in Kathar to hand it over; your job is to recover the saber - he doesn't care about casualties.
As with most things, there's more to the story. In this case, the rich man with the saber is the leader of the Sword Cult, which is based in some caves below Paulor's house. Among other things, they practice human sacrifice; Paulor is an unwilling tool, and quite happy to sell them out if you help him escape. Go down into the cave, deal with the cultists, take the saber, and return to Alberto for your reward.

8 | Surely Alberto has a new job for me. I should talk to him again.
10 | This time Alberto has a particularly important task for me. He says that a rich man is to arrive in Kathar and will meet with Paulor Thedrig. This man will wield a particularly valuable golden saber that he wants to hand over to Thedrig. I should be on the lookout at four o'clock in the afternoon in front of Thedrig's house and take the sword at a favorable opportunity.
15 | Supposedly he already has a buyer who will offer a good price for his sword. Finally, Alberto gave me the inconspicuous chalice that I recently procured for him and said it would perhaps be useful.
20 | It's four o'clock and I lie in wait. Kathar is empty; I doubt that anyone in the city will venture out into this terrible storm. Nevertheless, I should make sure that no one sees me. or It's four o'clock and I lie in wait. Kathar is empty; I doubt that anyone in the city will venture out into this scorching sun. 30 | The trader Alberto told me about has gone into Paulor Thedrig's home, along with his entourage. If I go now, I must make sure no one sees me.
40 | Using the odd chalice that I salvaged from an old tomb, I exposed access to a cave in Paulor Thedrig's house. He claims that a sect there has taken hold that worships the Great Andalis and his golden sword, sacrificing Dunmer to him in cruel rituals Dunmer. Paulor wants me to eliminate the people in the cave. I agreed; the poor man must not be exposed to the threat any longer. or Using the odd chalice that I salvaged from an old tomb, I exposed access to a cave in Paulor Thedrig's house. Paulor wants me to eliminate the people in the cave, but I refused. Who knows how many of them there are. My mission is to steal the sword. Nothing more. |

50 | I took the Golden Saber, for which I had been commissioned by Alberto. I should now return to him to hand over the goods and pocket my reward. Maybe he'll even be ready for a few answers when it comes to this brotherhood.
100 | Alberto is happy with me. He gave me a considerable amount of gold and a few potions. |
- Notes
- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in random order.
- If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
- It is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering
setstage ODDAss25Zirkel stage
, wherestage
is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages. See SetStage for more information.
