Any Horse Blessed w/ Wayshrine Travels from Anvil to Cheydinhal in 30 seconds
This is a glitch I proposed several years ago, and was repeatedly rejected by the mods. Based on that, I'm hoping this isn't common knowledge.
Step 1. Obtain a horse (buy, steal) Step 2. Ride your horse up to a wayshrine and get off while the horse is directly on top Step 3. Activate the wayshrine's blessing while the horse is closer to the top of the shrine, causing it to receive the blessing
Your horse will now be blessed with super-speed!
Endless 'Raising Tumbler' Sound
In the tutorial area, there is an average-level locked chest in one of the rooms, the only average chest in the entire tutorial. There appears to be a glitch triggered by picking this one, and seems to happen most often if you break all of your lockpicks trying to pick it. This glitch causes the squeaky sound of a rising tumbler to be played endlessly and constantly, until you either finish the tutorial, or save and reload. While annoying, it is not serious and can be fixed by saving the game, then reloading. — Unsigned comment by Pup42512n (talk • contribs) at 06:55 on 15 February 2009
- This has also happened to me several times on several different locks (using FCOM, also skeleton key). Again, saving and reloading stops the sound, but leaving areas, etc doesn't. — Unsigned comment by 67.248.23.221 (talk) at 05:36 on 2 April 2010

- Theres a number of "minor" glitches associated with lockpicking, on the ps3 for sure, but only when you've left the game on for 3 or 4 weeks. Sometimes the lockpick will shake so you cant even attempt to pick the lock unless you press the square button. Mikeyboy52 06:39, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

Shooting Arrows Glitch
When you pull back the arrow, you see the front of the bow, but your hand and the arrow disappear from the screen. When you release the arrow, it dodges sharply to the left visibly, but it lands a few feet to the right of where you had the cross-hair aimed.
I first had it happen at the beginning of the game when you're shooting at the bucket with your first bow and arrow set. It doesn't seem to have a trigger, it just seems to happen. Eventually it goes away, by shooting numerous arrows or equipping a new bow, but it's really frustrating all the same. I've seen it happen at any point in the game and I'm still trying to determine the exact cause. It happens in the Game of the Year edition, which probably means there's not a corrective patch yet. I'm not sure if it also happens on the PC or if it's XBox 360 exclusive. — Unsigned comment by 24.94.37.217 (talk) at 22:49 on 24 February 2008

- I was unable to reproduce this in testing, but in one test, I instead had my intended victim jerk insanely far to the left on dying (the width of an entire house) in violation of any conceivable physics due to angle or force, so it sounds like there may be some random strangeness going on with bows. I was deliberately wearing tan robes at the time and I was on the Waterfront, just to match IP 79.*'s contribution. No further tests produced this effect or any other strangeness after the first instance, however. ‒ Robin Hood↝Talk 18:44, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

- Funnily enough this isn't glitch at all. Archers in real life have to cope with something called the archer's paradox, which is how much an arrow is deflected by the release off the fingers since the string (and therefore the nock of the arrow) has to travel slightly around the fingertips. Novice archers tend not to have a "clean" release and this can result in the effect seen above. A trained archer will not usually suffer from this, but the occasional bad release off the fingers can again result in left-right problems.

1) That's not what causes the archer's paradox, and more importantly 2) it's a game. This is a glitch, not Bethesda trying to make the game more realistic. I would have thought that was made obvious by the fact that the arrow and your character's hand disappears when it occurs.--94.171.184.82 01:48, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
White Screen
Things were all fine. Until i typed a console command to go somewhere e.g. coc"rockmilkcaveexterior", then the game froze. When I pressed alt+ctrl+delete then end tasked the game. I then opened up the game again. And to my amazement it had a white screen. And the funny thing is that the small glitch has seemed to corrupt the other games on my computer. Can anyone offer help? Might I add, when i load a game there is a black screen and you can barely see what is going on. Please help Oblivion is an awesome game and i would like to keep playing it.

- That's a possibility, but if one of the game's data files (as opposed to the save files) or settings were corrupt, that would also cause the same behaviour. So I think the first thing to try would be to re-install the game and see if there are problems with existing or new games. If there are, then I'd move on to reinstalling the OS. ‒ Robin Hood↝Talk 17:14, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

Accessing Places: Additional Jump Height Via Ramps
As initially discussed here, this is an attempt at a presentable re-write:
When running up a slope, your character gains an upward velocity similar to that of when you jump. So long as you remain on the ground, this only applies while moving on the slope: For example, if you run to the top of some stairs, you won't go flying into the air at the end, the velocity is removed and your feet stay firmly planted on the floor. Likewise, if you attempt to jump while moving upwards, the game engine will register that there's a surface directly in front of you and "stick" you to that again (resetting your velocity and preventing you from achieving a "true" jump).
However, if you manage to jump at the very lip of the ramp - just before the game registers you're no longer running up, and just after you clear the area where true jumps are prevented - you will achieve a vertical velocity equal to your normal jump in addition to that of that which you obtained from running upwards. In short, your character's movement speed is directly tacked on to the force of your jumps, so more Speed and/or a steeper ramp means a bigger boost.
While on foot, your character can accelerate to his/her full speed nearly instantly, so the length of the ramp doesn't matter - practising Acrobats will often encounter this by mistake while moving over uneven ground. That said, the timing involved only gets harder as your character gets faster, making it a difficult stunt to perform on demand.
- Bomb Bloke 09:19, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- From a previous test, I found that gathering speed would increase the chances or pullying off this stunt. Mikeyboy52 16:57, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

Unconscious pickpocketing glitch
If you try to pickpocket someone whose unconscious its says take then the persons name for example (take martin) — Unsigned comment by 75.20.175.144 (talk) at 18:51 on 12 May 2010
- I tried this with and without the UOP and with and without being a vampire, and I get nothing even remotely resembling this. In fact, there's no "take" message at all. jumping out of water glitch
my character has acrobatics and athletics both at 100 so this might not happen to everyone.i was swimming around in leiwiin and i jumped on the water and buildings a few times and then i got bored so i jumped (from the water)onto land and when i landed i realised i was moving very slow and i couldnt hear footsteps so i zoomed out and my character was still in jump mode!and when i went in the water i walked as if on land so i decided (since i am on pc)to use the "TCL" cheat and it stopped the glitch.(and i use cheats rarely on myself(i like to use cheats on people ie-summoning creature and using CREATEFULLACTORCOPY cheat 20 times on it then doing the same to a guard or giving the adoring fan a very strong weapon and use SETCRIMEGOLD 2000 on him) so that is not what caused it,and i got my abilities from jumping and running)

PC Running glitch
for the pc if you pause the game while walking and unpause it while running the run key will make you walk instead of run. this problem glitches only the character you are currently playing and to fix it you have to return to a previous saved game — Unsigned comment by 75.16.199.134 (talk) at 11:25 on 2 June 2010
- This isn't a glitch in that the Caps Lock light isn't intended to indicate whether you're walking or running; Caps Lock is intended to be a key like any other that will toggle your speed. So if you're in a menu and hit the Caps Lock key, nothing changes except the light. The much simpler way to put it back, if you want the light to reflect whether you're walking or runnin, is to just pause the game and hit the Caps Lock key again to set it back to the way you're used to. Alternately, assign it to a key that doesn't have a light so that you don't get used to it being one way or the other. ‒ Robin Hood↝Talk 01:38, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
Gain Two Mage Followers
I discovered an interesting glitch where you can gain two mage followers in the mages guild (combined with some other glitches) this makes for a powerful trio.
There is an easily exploitable glitch when you become Arch-Mage after destroying Mannimarco and completing the King of the Worms.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Enter upper story of the Mage Quarters
- Find a female Mage Apprentice with black hair
- Talk to her, and tell her to 'Follow'
- Chose any other apprentice and tell them the same.
Tip: You may want to create some enchanted permanent bound items to give to the NPC's via reverse pick-pocketing before talking to them and telling them to follow you, to keep them from dying right of the bat. --68.226.126.37 00:31, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

Jumping Out Of The Imperial City
- Confirmed and moved to Glitches page. Section can be removed any time after September 12.
it is possible to jump out of The Imperial City by going to the small pond near the main ingredient store in the market district then facing north east then jumping up on the wall then head all the way down to the bottom of the wall jumping over the gate to the arena district until you come to the small roof of the north east watchtower and jump to the very top of the small roof and facing north east jump through the walls of the imperial city. Also from the north east watchtower roof you can jump roof-to-roof in the market district by simply jumping onto the roof opposite the small roof of the watchtower.
NOTE:you may need high acrobatics to perform this glitch. (if it can be called a glitch)
-
- I didn't test it fully, but the testing I did makes it look like this should be possible with high enough stats. If a second person with high Athletics (and possibly Speed/Strength/I-forget-what-all-goes-into-jumping) can confirm, this can be summarized and then moved to the Glitches page with the others. ‒ Robin Hood↝talk 21:40, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

Fight Hand-to-Hand with Shield and Sword equipped
-
- Warning- A little after the glitch takes place, your game will freeze, so be sure to save beforehand. To avoid potential freezing, don't do the glitch for more than a couple seconds. When you're done with the glitch, equip a different sword. **
- First of all i was randomly pressing buttons when i found this out. I don't know if this works with other equipment, but i'm guessing it does. The first couple of things you want to have are: a shield (i used Fine Madness Shield), 2 identical swords (i used 2 Pure Order Swords), and 2 scrolls of the same type. Have all of your equipment at 100 health, and make sure that the 2 swords are stacked on each other and that your shield is equipped.*
Step 1: Equip one of the swords that are stacked. Step 2: Go to the "Scrolls" tab and double-click X (PS3) on the 2 identical scrolls (Duplication Glitch). Step 3: Return to your "Weapons" tab and press Square (PS3) on one of the identical swords that is NOT EQUIPPED to drop it. Your character should drop both the swords and look like he's/she's in Hand-to-Hand fighting mode; but he's holding both the shield and the sword. Step 4: Pick up the swords back up (they should be stacked to look like only 1 sword. Step 5: Proceed on punching with your shield and sword or whatever you wanna do.
- Note- After you drop the sword that's not equipped, both your non-equipped sword and equipped sword will drop out of your inventory, but your character still has 1 of the swords in his hand (But not in the inventory anymore). Make sure to pick the dropped swords back up when you equip a different sword, otherwise your game will freeze. I Don't know if this glitch works on Xbox 360; i own a a PS3.*
killer chairs
although not very often, ive been unable to complete a quest because the npc sit down! their leg or arm is forced into a table or floor dew to the animation this makes the npc vibrate and die. i failed many assasin bonus objectives because the target sat down and got caught in a wall. frustrating :S.
Skill Level Crash
I am a level 15 Khajiit and I am trying to get my conjuration up. I have continuously used Bound Gauntlets to increase my skill rapidly, starting at 8, Novice. However, once I use the final spell to make me an Apprentice (25) in conjuration, the game crashes! I am playing on the Xbox 360, and have both Knights of the Nine plug-in and Shivering Isles expansion, yet I still haven't really started their quests. Please help me. It is really irritating to think that I may be unable to summon a single creature in the entire game (and it's expansions)! I've reloaded the game many times, and still experience the same result: I cannot advance past level 24 in conjuring, or else the game will crash.
Answer: I had the same problem, you need to use a trainer to get over the 25 "Hump". Everything should be fine from there on out.
I encountered this bug as well. This is rather random. First time I had it, I was training outdoors. Then I did something else after reloading instead of training the skill again. Before the last cast, I saved and I was able to get pass to level 25 indoors. So you may want to do the same. Find a house that has less objects, so the memory will not be that complicated. JoshuaYu
Essential NPC's falling through the floor when equipped with certain enchanted mage's hoods
I equipped one of the maids in Battlehorn Castle with a hood that did 5 points of damage every second... The reason is because she was annoying the hell out of me. I would've just used the console on her, but i'm on the xbox version, so I had to be creative. I tried locking her in the closet, in the grotto, and then I tried getting her inside an oblivion gate and closing it (She got spat out literally right back into the castle courtyard... She flew through the sky there. It was the oblivion gate on the hill near the castle, so it spat her out like a cannon and she landed in the stable...) and even that didn't work. I finally reverse pickpocketed a mage's hood onto her and that stopped her for a bit (Didn't keep her out of my private quarters for long though.). After that, strange things began happening.
She would start to fall through the floor of my private quarters after 4 or 5 incaps (she's essential) and then worse she kept falling. But that's not all. She seemed to keep teleporting right to where I was constantly and then falling through again... The reason I say this? I would be holding an item (Books. I'm trying to decorate the book shelves in my private quarters) and it would suddenly just fly out of my hand. After a while of her falling, the game simply froze up. It's ridiculous, and it's done it about 5 times now. I'm considering reloading from an earlier save and obtaining a drain fatigue affect before putting the hood on her and doing that instead... =/ — Unsigned comment by 68.114.29.132 (talk) on July 6 2010
Strange Sounds
(Note: I am using the standard PS3 version) Occasionally, and I don't know why, during gameplay, usually in a fight, out of nowhere a really REALLY loud hellish grinding noise will appear, and it stays for quite a while. It seems to fade in and out as I move, showing that it must originate from a person I may be fighting. I suspect it may occur when a spell is cast, but I don't know for sure. Whatever the case, it's loud enough to drown out any other noise that may occur at the same time. I normally just run away, and sometimes it just stops, and if not, leaving the area stops it. Apart from general annoyance though, it isn't much of a problem, although it has crashed my game on two occasions. — Unsigned comment by 86.145.83.129 (talk)
- i have it on xbox360 and yes i have the same thing happen. usauly while im doing a quest that needs going into the wilderness. it sounds to me like a combination of dying giraffe combined with frost and storm atronach's(did i spell that right?) my guess is its caused when you reach your 56 hour mark and then every 10 hours after. i dont think it happens outside of the imperial reserve though.
- I have the same problem on Xbox 360's GotY version. Does it make your game lag in that one spot with the sound but as you move away your fine? It happened to me when I duplicated some Sigil Stones for a 100% Chameleon set. I guess the Stones fell through the cell or something because I can't find them nor will the grinding noise stop.

0.1 Weight Arrows
For this glitch, you must have atleast one arrow, so it can't be done with Rose of Sithis unless you dupe it. First, drop all of your arrows, apart from one. Then, exit your journal and pick up the remaining arrows. This will add it to the amount of arrows you have equipped, but not to the amount that burden you. — Unsigned comment by Dante allege (talk • contribs) on July 12 2010
- Your encumbrance returns to what it should after you shoot an arrow, or do anything else that changes encumbrance, so this glitch can't be used in a situation where you'll have to fight, but it is a way to shave off a few pounds to make off with a little extra loot without a feather effect. --Tenraah 04:47, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
Equip a 2h Weapon with a shield
This glitch requires you own both the Weaponbane Cuirass & the Mountaineer's Shield, both dwarven
First, equip your 2h weapon. Then equip the Weaponbane Cuirass, then equip the Mountaineer's shield, the shield should now be visibly worn now equip a different cuirass to the Weaponbane Cuirass, and you should be wearing a full set of armor, with a 2h sword, and a shield
additionally, if you equip a 1h weapon afterwards you gain 2x the defence bonus you would normally gain from the shield, making this the best shield in the game, with a possible %38 defence bonus
presumably, this glitch works because both the Weaponbane Cuirass, and the Mountaineer's Shield occupy the tail slot of armor, and would theoretically work with any non shield item that occupied that slot
this may only work on the 360
this glitch works with the version 1.2 update

Easy Arena Rounds
Make sure you have some Area of Effect damaging spells (at least 10Ft range). After asking the Blademaster for a fight, enter the arena as you normally would, (raiment, helm, shield, etc) and walk to the iron gate up the stairs. Once the announcer has finished talking, look to either the left or right of the arena fight pit, you should see another 2 iron gates, beside them are pillars or battlements, try jumping at them. If you can get on top of one, you can shoot your enemy(s) with magic or arrows from there and they will not be able to attack you. (I have the Xbox 360 version, so i am unsure if it works on any other console) One small problem i encountered was the "Three Argonian Prisoner" round, in which one argonian was pushed through the wall by the other two, easily fixed by getting at different angles and getting them to pop back out again, or casting AoE (Area of Effect) spells at the wall. This is especially useful if you are a mage or prefer the Light Raiment. --60.240.4.191 22:53, 23 July 2010 (UTC)Hunter99Gd

I was on the road between Skingrad and Kvatch, trying to find a bandit or highwayman, and i was attacked by a mountain lion. i didnt really want to fight it as i was focused on the curiass, so i tried to outrun it. i was riding Shadowmere. i took a wrong turn at the fork in the road and ended up in Kvatch. the lion had followed me and the people started attacking it. they ended up hitting each other in the process, and a miniature civil war broke out. i was looting the bodies as people died, so i followed two people who were fighting into the tent near the road out of town (its Weedum-Ja's). i changed the settings on the brightness from three clicks from the highest to all the way dow, because my TV makes this whining noise if theres too bright of an object on it. as i exited the pause menu, one of the people accidentally punched me. i went through the wall i was up against and i could see the outline of the tent, and everything in it, along with the opposite wall. the ground was a flat blue plane, but i could still see the sky. also, i was only capable of going a few feet before i was retunred to the center of the tent. i went back through the wall and the tent went back to its normal appearance though i could still go through the wall and access the blue plane as many times as i wanted. i exited through the door, and i was back in Kvatch, but i could still go through things, but only for a certain distance. then it would put me on top of whatever i was in. i climbed up the mountain to the oblivion gate, and walked off the edge. i stayed in mid-air, and although it refreshed occasionally with every few feet the height of the land below me decreased, i didnt fall. i remained in mid-air and my health was damaged as if i had fallen. I have duplicated this effect several times in the same manner, but with different creatures. once with a wolf, and once with a ogre, which i killed before it killed all the villagers, but not before the mini civil war started. with the wolf, i was not aginst the wall, but against the edge of the table in the back right corner facing away from the door. i was punched to the middle of the table and the effect was duplicated. getting on a horse ends this. fast raveling does not.
Permanent NPC Chameleon Effect (xbox 360
Requirments: 1.good magic skills 2.Access to a enchanting alter 3. at least 15 magicka(for temporary) 185 for permanent 4.A NPC to use the spell on it on 5.A save file before you use it (optional to avoid bounty)
Steps: 1.make a spell with all effects the way they are when you first click on them (like for example fire damage on touch 3pts for 1 sec) or for the temporary version that sometimes dosn't work just use all effects that you can use on other people but not yourself. 2.use it on the npc.
they should keep the chameleon effect even after it wears off so they walk around permanently chameleon. A fun thing to do with this spell is find someone you don't like and use it on them until they die and there body should stay chameleon even after death.
Not sure if the perm effect is just visual or if it treats them as chameleon forever
Also not sure if this works on PS3 or PC

Throw thing's with telekinesis through wall's
If you use telekinesis on an item you can move it towards or away from you using shoulder buttons (not sure which) on console (not sure about PC). If you move the item away from you and while it is moving press the button which brings it towards you while still holding other button the item will shoot forward. If the item is shot towards a wall sometimes it will go through. If you quickly go to where you entered the area the item will raise out of the floor in front of the entrance to the area.
Infinite Leveling (Xbox 360)
This glitch can be used to raise your level at will. Infinitely. When and wherever you want. It's really quite simple.
What you need:
1. An Oblivion file which is ready to level up (has the icon and will level up when you sleep)
2. Any normal Oblivion file. It is popular to use a file which is about to exit the sewers, but you don't have to.
3. A bit of patience, as after the first level up you won't receive Attribute multipliers.
Steps:
1. On the save game which is ready to level up, go to a bed, and save just in case you mess up.
2. You must have timing for this. Set the sleep timer to one hour, and press ok. Now tap the start button until the menu loads. You want to get into the start menu as quickly as possible, or right when the background turns completely black.
3. Load your desired file.
4. When your game loads, the game still thinks that you have just woken up and are ready to level up since you didn't let it autosave or finish the sleeping time. You will get attribute multipliers based on that characters skill level ups the first time, but since you don't train in between level ups, you won't get the bonuses.
5. Reload the save in front of the bed, and repeat steps 2 through 4 as many times as you like.
This glitch can be used to max out your attributes to 255 before you even leave the sewers, or at any point in the game.
I've tested it numerous times, and it does work after all patches.
Happy leveling!
The reload must be done when the timer ends, eg. wait one hour, when one hour has passed via sleeping you reload and level, not when the screen goes black, this can be done waiting any amount of time, 1 hour just works best Pirate34 20:00, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
- Does increasing minor skills in between leveling still allow you to distribute attribute bonuses normally when using this glitch? --Big Head93 20:29, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
- Big Head93 If you are talking about your save just before sleeping than no you can't, I believe that this is because the game thinks you leveled on your other save in which you have yet to raise your skills, however I would try raising your skills on the save that you want to level up.
As to the glitch it self it does work, but there is a catch, if you use the glitch, you cannot progress to another level through other means, you can raise your major skills but they will not add to the progress to the next level bar. This exploit can also result in a very chalangeing game as this also meand that you will have extreemly low skills at level 29 + and the monsters will be leveled and far stronger than you, this might be useful if you want to make oblivion more challangeing.Superinsomniac 22:10, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Is it possible to use this glitch to raise your level above the level cap? --Big Head93 00:43, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
Is there a similar glitch that ONLY increases attributes, becose my khajiit that i tested this on ended up having 100 hand 2 hand, block and light armor. also all other skills were affected as well like destruction was 79. — Unsigned comment by 217.24.107.126 (talk) at 16:44 on 21 December 2010 (UTC)
Stuck underwater while Swimming?
I was playing as a heavy armor wearing Orc (custom class, but similar to basic fighter style). And now, for whatever reason, if I go underwater, instead of swimming, I simply run as if I were on land but my breath still drains and I am unable to jump. My only option for this is to escape before I drwon (almost did the first time). I tried unequipping all my armor and the effect still takes place.Any explanation, help, etc. for this?
Vahtacen Pressure Pad/Door Bug
A common (and rather annoying) glitch occurs in the Ayleid ruin of Vahtacen. When you come in to the area, "Vahtacen Lorsel" and you pass the rooms with the Dark Welkynd stones you come to a narrow corridor with a pressure pad in front of you. What you are supposed to do is stand on the pressure pad and two rooms will open to the side of you. The two rooms contain two ghosts which you need to defeat. Normally when you defeat the two ghosts the wall blocking you from going onwards will open, but sometimes the script isn't working and the wall doesn't open, preventing you from going further in to Vahtacen and preventing you from updating the Mages Guild Questline. The only known fix of this is to come back after a few days.— Unsigned comment by 213.107.186.105 (talk) on 6 August 2010
Infiltration Quest "Floating bodies/Sheep" at Water's Edge
Once you have slain all the Goblins in Waters Edge in the Fighter's Guild Quest "Infiltration" you will have to return to Waters Edge after Modryn Owen tells you that he's worried about the village. However, sometimes when you go back a weird bug occurs that causes the Villagers' dead bodies to be simply floating backwards, with the poor old man mourning beside them. The bodies cannot be looted, and will eventually disappear after a while. Sometimes, even more strangely, the mourner will be standing next to a herd of standing sheep. The sheep are standing upright but it appears they are somehow dead, as you can loot their "Corpses" for mutton.— Unsigned comment by 213.107.186.105 (talk) on 6 August 2010 A related glitch has the bodies standing up in organized columns, but all properly lootable.
Main Quest: King of Miscarcand's wild goose chase.
During the quest Miscarcand, you will need to fight the King of Miscarcand. I am currently a low level and I have my gameplay on hard (I started again as I'd done everything on my main account) anyway, I took the Great Welkynd Stone, and the big evil King appeared with his Ghouls to kill me. Being a coward (And having only Blade Armour!) I decided to run. Big mistake. The King was still chasing me through the whole ruin, and once I got out, he was still chasing me! I couldn't fast travel, despite the fact that he wasn't even in sight. So I thought, I'll just lower the gameplay, go back in the ruin and kill this monster - Wrong again! I went back inside, looked through the whole ruin, and he wasn't even there, but the stupid danger music was still playing. So I gave up and decided to run back to Skingrad. And when I came back to Skingrad, the danger music was (and still is!!) playing, but I can't find this stupid King! Even worse, I can't actually talk to anyone! Whenver I go near someone, they either bring out swords and are too interested in killing the king (despite the fact that the king is No-where to be seen) or it says "They are fleeing" I can't sleep, wait or fast travel or talk to anyone! The only previous saves I have is when i was outside Miscarcand! Any help please!!!— Unsigned comment by 213.107.186.105 (talk) on 6 August 2010

All I can suggest is save and reload, that usually ends combat. There's also a console command to end combat, if you are on the PC.
Armand Christophe "Locked himself outside his house"
I have just finished the quest "Untaxing the poor" and I wish to start the new thieves guild quest. But there's a problem - Armand Christophe seems to have "Locked himself outside his house". Basically, it means that for some reason Armand doesn't appear at midnight in the garden of Dareloth and is just spends his day standing outside his house. I pickpocketed him, and he has no house key! It's pretty obvious he can't get in as you can hear about every 10 seconds a "click" sound which is him trying to get in his own house. So, to solve it, I open the door for him (aren't I kind) but then, he doesn't even move, he just says something like "dirty little thief" and then I'm expelled from the thieves guild for unlocking his own house and he's still not going in, even though it's open! Please someone help!— Unsigned comment by 213.107.186.105 (talk) on 6 August 2010

What?! Shepherds Pie glitch in the Fighter's guild?!
When I was in the fighters guild in Chorrol i realized that i was very nearly over encumbered, so i decided to clean out my inventory of junk. One of the items I dropped was a shepherds Pie, and then something very strange happened. The Shepherds Pie started to get bigger and bigger in size and started stretching out like elastic. The whole of the fighters guild is now filled with a giant shepherd's pie. To avoid any game crashes i decided to pick it up, but for some reason instead of saying take, it said search. The pie's "Inventory" didn't contain anything, of course. It isn't a truly devastating glitch but it's extremely irrating and makes it hard to talk to Moderyn Owen for the Fihters guild quests.— Unsigned comment by 213.107.186.105 (talk) on 6 August 2010

vampires cure\ an unexpected voyage glitche
i havnt tried this again to see if it happens every time but when i was doing the vampires cure quest and came to the point where count hassildor asks you to give him a day to mourn his wife, i then went to the imperial city and started the quest an unexpected voyage, on waking in my room on the ship hassildor was standing in my room, when i spoke to him he just told me to leave him alone on finishing the quest he was back in skingrad castle.

during the Vampire Cure quest, when i enter the cave to kill the vampire required for the cure, i take one step into the cave and sink through the floor, falling into the water below the cell. i can, with a mastery of acrobatics, jump on top of the caves, but i'm still in the out-of-bounds area in the cell outside the cave. can anyone confirm the cause? this has happened to me twice on 360. Hlidara Mothril Died
Once when i was doing the quest Adarji's heirloom, I was caught sneaking into the countess' room. I was attacked by her and Hlidara Mothril so i killed her. When i loaded it back to before i was caught i heard a scream from the dining room downstairs. i went to check it out and Hlidara mothril was dead next to the table during dinner. I dont think she was killed by another NPC because everyone was still eating at the table. -Gabe896, august 13, 2010
Uderfrykte Matron in the Imperial City
After starting the non journal quest relating to the Uderfrykte Matron and Dive Rock, I died in combat with her. After loading my most recent auto save I went back to Dive Rock and tried to find her unsuccessfully. After several days of waiting and searching, I finally gave up and started the Dark Brotherhood quest line. When I got to The Lonely Wanderer, I traveled to the Tiber Septim Hotel, opened the door and low and behold, Uderfrykte Matron attacking and killing everyone in the lobby. I had to do some fancy footwork to keep it from killing Atraena and Faelian. If the Uderfrykte Matron is allowed to kill Faelian (in public,) you will lose the opportunity to acquire the bonus Shadowhunt.— Unsigned comment by 64.151.171.28 (talk) on 16 August 2010
- The cell in which the Matron was probably disappeared. As noted in The Tiber Septim Hotel page, the lobby acts as a "safe cell" to prevent crashes when a cell in which an NPC or creature was disappeared. --S'drassa •T2M 01:46, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

Danger Music Glitch
Ok so I was doing some stuff in Skingrad and hit someone on accident and the danger music went on. Then I did a block and did a yield and he accepted it...but he kept attacking and the danger music was still on. I talked to the guards and they were like friends with me so they bailed me out. Still the danger music was playing. I ran around and killed some enemy's...and still the music. Saved and quit and then played again and right away the damned music. So yeah it won't stop and I can't rest, sleep, repair, or fast travel.
Ragdoll glitch
while messing with skooma, i figured out if you drain your agility a ton, then if you run out of fatigue, your fatigue goes into the negatives, and you turn into a ragdoll. you cant move or do anything until your fatigue goes back into the positives. if you make a spell that drains agility 100 however long, if the enemy runs out of fatigue they'll ragdoll. if you drain fatigue, they might never get up.
Clear Stolen Flag On weapons and apparel
You can clear the stolen flag on any weapon or clothing material (as long as it is not enchanted) in a very simple way. Simply enchant the item you wish to clear the stolen flag on with a soul gem or a sigil stone. Invisible Weapon
Talk to a merchant with a weapon and shield equipped and not drawn. It may need to be a blade weapon. Sell the equipped item to the merchant. As long as you don't equip anything else you can "draw" the weapon, though it will not appear in your hand, your hand will act as if you draw the weapon, complete with sound effects. You can strike people with the weapon and even use a shield to defend. This effect ends when you equip a new weapon. — Unsigned comment by 159.53.78.143 (talk) at 20:42 on 24 August 2010

Instant Level Up
If you want to instantly level up your character, even past level 50, you will need two things. 1) A character that you would like to level up 2) A different character who CAN level up. First have character 2 find a bed and sleep in it for one hour. Right when the time increases but BEFORE the level up screen pops up, pause the game and load up character 1 and it will allow you to level up it instead of character 2. Glich at Bloodmayne Cave
I am unable to enter Bloodmayne Cave to do the the Fugitives Quest for the figher's guild. I can go into the back entrance and kill the 2 fugitives there, but then I am unable to enter the door from that part into the Bloodmayne cave as well as the front door entrance. Therefore, leaving me to not be able to kill 2 of the 4 fugitives. I have tried deleting my game disk from the ps3 and trying another disk, but still unable to enter that cave. I have loaded an earlier game from the beginning, very beggining, as in outside the sewers and went there and had no problem. I have finished most everything in Oblivion and would really like to finish the fighter's guild. Any idea what has gone wrong and if there is anything to get around this? Thanks, Pamiepage
Minor FPS glitch
This occurs on a relatively high-end PS3 for me, in seventeen different save files, and has occurred in two out of three save files on my 360: When I leave the system running and the game active for multiple hours on end (leaving the system on while I go into town for lunch, for instance), then come back, I find a consistent frame jitter that occurs approximately every 2/3 of a second. This seems to be solved by gaining a new quest, loading an old save file, or completing the quest that is in the Active slot when the glitch occurs. The glitch itself appears to be harmless, but the fact that the screen duplicates a frame roughly five times every .6 seconds gets annoying very quickly. 71.76.191.43 02:33, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
Perhaps don't leave your PS3 or X-Box on when you "go to town for lunch"? Can't be good for the environment or your electricity bill.

- To the guy who said it doesnt work, try the a button, im pretty sure the guy who posted this is on a ps3, so the 360 would be the a button, once i tried that, it worked.
- Ive done this successfully on many of my characters. however the correct procedure is the have two of one scroll, and three of another. you make two of the item, equip one, and make three of the one that is not equipped. it doesnt work with all rings and amulets however, but anything you enchant yourself WILL work. note i think there is a reference to this glitch in the book "Mannimarco, king of worms" specifically:

"O, but sung we have of Vanus Galerion many times before, How cast he off the Psijics' chains, bringing magic to the land. Throughout the years, he saw the touch of Mannimarco's hand, Through Tamriel's deserts, forests, towns, mountains, and seas. The dark grip stretching out, growing like some dread disease By his dark Necromancers, collecting cursed artifacts of yore. They brought to him these tools, mad wizards and witches, And brought blood-tainted herbs and oils to his cave of sin, Sweet Akaviri poison, dust from saints, sheafs of human skin, Toadstools, roots, and much more cluttered his alchemical shelf, Like a spider in his web, he sucked all their power into himself, Mannimarco, Worm King, world's first of the undying liches Corruption on corruption, 'til the rot sunk to his very core, Though he kept the name Mannimarco, his body and his mind Were but a living, moving corpse as he left humanity behind. The blood in his veins became instead a poison acid stew. His power and his life increased as his fell collection grew . Mightiest were these artifacts, long cursed since days of yore."

Flinch Glitch
I don't know how this happened, but my game froze in the arena fighting the first opponent, so I reloaded a previous save and now everything flinches whenever it is hit by anything. I can keep hitting people with daggers and they flinch 100% of the time, and what's worse is that they can do it to me too. I pretty much gave up on that save file because it's impossible to play when everything that hits you makes you stagger. I've never seen or heard of this happening before but it is more or less game breaking if you don't get the first hit in combat (Archers are pretty much instant death). This occurred on the normal xbox360 version of Oblivion, not game of the year.
Get any staff in the game
For this one you will need a summon lich spell and a destroy weapon spell. 1.) Summon your lich (this will probably take alot of magic, my magic is over 10,000 so i dont know exactly how much you need) 2.) Use the damage weapon spell on your lich until it drops the broken staff 3.) Either kill the lich, let the summon wear off. or dispel yourself 4.) pick up the staff and repair is(very easy to repair, takes 1 hit with hammer) and recharge it. You will get a random staff every time but they are all very high leveled staves and you can get as many as you want for free, enjoy :)
summoning glitch?? im on a file thats like 136 hours in, i was just doing the Chorrol oblivion gate for the MQ and everytime a daedra summoned a creature (like a spider daedra summoning a mini spider or a xivali or w/e summoning a daedroth, a black cylinder would appear where the summoned creatures was, and the creature would appear in the black cylinder which then disappears. anyone else experienced this?
I've had the same issue with spider daedra summoning their mini spiders. It went away on its own, either after some time or after restarting my system.--72.205.228.201 18:45, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

For some reason if I run too fast (Speed and Athletics above 200), after running a bit a load screen pops up after a lot of loading (many minutes), I get teleported at the sky above the Imperial City. If I haven't completed "Pilgrimage", Pelinal Whitestrake is there and gives me the quest "The Shrine of the Crusader". If I have completed "Pilgrimage" then I am stuck in there unless I use the console. Can somebody confirm? --Rigas Papadopoulos • Talk • Deeds • 15:15, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
- How the heck did you get both of those stats that high? Note that if you cheated to do it (eg used the console), then it doesn't count for the purposes of this wiki. That said, I run around with 250 speed / ~80 athletics and have noticed no issues, and some people have been known to use far higher speed values then that. - Bomb Bloke (Talk/Contribs) 21:02, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
-
- It happens only with a spell I made using the CS, 200 Fortify Speed and Athletics for 20 seconds. It doesn't occur if I do it with the console or by using the permanent Fortify trick. --Rigas Papadopoulos • Talk • Deeds • 21:30, 2 November 2010 (UTC) P.S. I am familiar with the Wiki's policies.
- to put it simply, you're running faster than the processor can load terrain in front of you. my only suggestion would be to slow down. Arcanus Redwolf 17:49, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
Missing Horse Glitch?
Well I've finished the Dark Brotherhood questline and I have...well had Shadowmere. Anyway, I was doing the quest for Mazoga and it was really glitchy, like people floating in midair glitchy. And the next time I fast-traveled my horse was gone. It doesn't show up anywhere and I don't remember where i left it. Can anyone help me with this madness? I'd like my horse back. 69.193.87.245 22:35, 27 October 2010 (UTC)Usagi
Taken from the article on Shadowmere: "If Shadowmere is knocked unconscious, and you have not armored her, when she recovers she will always start to wander back to Fort Farragut (which may take a very long time) unless you remount her."--72.205.228.201 18:48, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
Vahtacen's Secret
After you solve the riddle and open the pillar, you head into the second section. Then, you fight some leveled undead until you reach the first pressure-plate activated door. Even if you step on the pressure-plate, the door still does not open. There is no confirmed way to deal with this problem.
Unlimited Black Soul Gems
This glitch only worked for me before I installed the two expansions (Knights of the Nine, Shivering Isles).
If you have at least 2 full black soul gems in your inventory (I don't think the size of the soul matters) and kill any Soul Trapped creature, another black soul gem will appear in your inventory, filled with the soul of whatever you had recently killed. 24.178.91.241 20:11, 31 October 2010 (UTC)Xem
How to Clear the Stolen Sign on all Non-Quest Items
You must make sure that you have more money than the item costs. You must also be a member of that Thieves Guild. Once you have your stolen item, travel to a Thieves guild fence and sell the item to them, then, simply buy it back. — Unsigned comment by 59.101.41.164 (talk) at 00:27 on 6 November 2010
- That's not a glitch, that's the entire point of a fence. Although if you're buying the item back yourself, it's probably a little closer to laundering. – Robin Hood↝talk 02:08, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
Hassildor glitch
during the vampire cure quest janus hassildor was doing that quest thing where he'll walk up to you to talk but he wouldn't talk and i couldn't start the conversation so i walked outside to wait with janus still following me but the game wouldn't let me wait and as you know or should know janus is a vampire so when we went out side after a couple of seconds he died and now everytime he gets up he dies instantly being essential and all but i still can't wait can someone help me.
stay outside with him until night when he'll get up and not get knocked out again. At least, this should work as vampires are called "creatures of the night" in Jakben's Journal (theives guild) and are probably called this elsewhere. Btw, Im surprised noone has answered this yet seeing as its preety simple. The Random Cow Says Moo 82.7.83.64 16:43, 3 April 2011 (UTC)
Kvatch Crash
i went into the oblivion plain at kvatch and was collecting a lot of ingredients, and weapons from the storm antronachs and xialvali and i got into the place that has the prisoner at the top with a dremora, and after i killed him and got the key i clicked on the cage, afterwards i saved the game, i tried to load it, and it goes the bar goes the whole way across, but the whole time instead of it showing the fremora picture like it does when u load in oblivion, it shows all the standard pictures, and once it loads, the screen doesnt go off, all i see is the loading screen, and i can hear the wind of the plains and i can hear it pause, but i cant hear me walk (and i got daedric boots) or move the curser in the menu, and i pushed the center button of the xbox, and the picture shatters with a black abyss background(note i saved inside) im using the original version
Repair Hammer + Other Random Problems Glitch
I'm playing on the xbox360, got to about half way between level 20 and 21, and suddely quite a few problems have started to occur at once. For a start, when I try to repair something, each repair hammer breaks after only one use. I'm above level 60 on armourer, so can't understand why this has started happening. Secondly, something's started to go wrong with the containers. Every house I break into in the imperial city (and generally) has completely empty containers. This includes locked chests, bedroom wardrobes and drawers, desks etc - all completely empty. The only exceptions are the cupboards in the kitchen areas, which occasionally contain one solitary apple. In dungeons, most chests contain just 36 gold, or weak potions of healing. Thirdly all the enemy characters seemed to have reverted to a lower level, and are ridiculously easy to kill. For example I just completed the Bloodworm Helm mission, came across my first Xivilai, and managed to kill it with just a few swipes. Finally I've noticed a few other minor glitches, such as a sound glitch in Anvil where a short clip of the seagull sound is playing on loop. Anyone got any suggestions? I can't find any mention of this problem anywhere else except for one thread on a message board of another site, but there's no suggestion of what to do on there. The same problems now occur on all of my saved games, even much earlier ones. At the moment I'm playing on to see if the problems resolve themselves when I level up again.
Permanent Wayshrine Effects?
(After hearing about using wayshrines to make your horse run faster in the loading screen, I hopped on Shadowmere to try it)
- Next to Cheydinhal I went to the shrine and after using it enjoyed the effects. Afterwards it wouldn't go away. Going to a chapel to try and heal it away didn't work, using the wayshrine again didn't work (In fact, it just doubled the effect), Sleeping, being sent to jail, etc. didn't work either. I'm not sure if this is triggered after anything specific, but I have gone through each guild faction and most of the DLC that is available, so sadly it wouldn't be possible to narrow it down to what caused it.
People not showing up
i have 1 misson where i have to talk to someone but they dont show up its the buying rosethorn hall dude this is on xbox 360 and i really want both please help
- What do you mean they don't show up? Are you using your quest arrow? And can you explain exactly who you mean? --DKong27 Talk Cont 03:05, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
i am using my quest arrow and where it points me to there not there so i walk direcly where the quest points me but there not there. i check there scheduales on here and i followed them but still no and the person is shum yo gaur the guy who sells the best house in the game.what do i do?
You most likely killed the guy earlier in the game, I did that with the Bruma furniture guy and it just leads me to where I killed him.
He can fall out the bridge in Skingrad
Glitched Orrery
This glitch only seems to happen once i've downloaded the orrerey DLC for oblivion on the xbox360. There seems to be an increased chance of this happening if i start the quest "Tears of the savior" before ever visiting the arcane university. Bothiel of the arcane university vanishes! When i use my compas to see where she is for the quest "Repairing the Orrery" (After finding all the Dwarvern artifacts) It simply points me to the locked Orrery, every single time. Since i can't speek to her about repairing the Orrery, there is no way to get in: No bothiel = No entrance to the Orrery. No entrance to the Orrery = No bothiel. This can make it impossible to complete quests "Reppairing The Orrery" and "Necromancers Moon" (Which stops me becoming Arch-Mage) This is VERY frustrating, so if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks. - — Unsigned comment by Magika (talk • contribs) at 17:50 on 13 December 2010
try deleting the orrery dlc from your hard drive and then try to find her i had the same problem and it worked like a charm. hope this helps

Underneath The Arena
Once, on an arena match I managed to get under the floor of the arena. I was running constantly against one of the walls while jumping (A high Acrobatics skill helps with this) and being attacked with a meele weapon. I fell through the wall and just dropped, seeing nothing but a blue screen and my weapon, compas and health bar. I looked up to see the underneath of the Arena getting smaller and smaller until it vanished, and i was back where i started. I have done this twice and is as far as i know, harmless. - — Unsigned comment by Magika (talk • contribs) at 17:57 on 13 December 2010

Skull of Corruption/Staff of Worms
I'm not sure really if this is really worth mentioning but i don't want some poor fellow wasting their time with this. I got a follower to use the Skull of Corruption on me and then killed my clone and revived him with staff of worms. Then i gave him the Skull of Corruption, i wasn't able to get him to attack me even after using rage. When the timer on the staff of corruption wore out the game crashed and any saves that were between my clone being revived and the timer running out crashed as well. - Nobody 9:20pm 24th December 2010.
Unicorn
Lol this one is very strange may happen with any wondering horse. Instead of completing the shrine quest by killing the unicorn and returning its horn i went for a ride on it like most people do but. . . . i made a stop off in Bruma to drop off some things to my house, on the way back i forgot about the unicorn and continued for a very long time / couple weeks doing other pointless things. When it came to getting the unicorn horn for the shrine it gave me the green quest pointer to the center of bruma. I was like okay and tried to go into bruma to find the unicorn. To my "surprise" it wasn't in the city no matter where i went. Greatly annoyed i decided to get as close to the quest marker as possible. Funnily enough the quest marker went towards me as well, i crawled up close to the wall and i herd the unicorn. While sneaking with fists i punched at the wall while looking up a bit and there was the unicorn stuck in bruma lol. I tried getting close enough to mount it and fast traveling. I didn't want to kill it using aoe effects because i wouldn't be able to reach the corpse. Unicorn fail. Without using the console i wasn't able to get it out. This makes me most sad :'( -Nobody 9:40 24th December 2010. Merry Christmas btw :D

Bruma Frozen Beggar Glitch
I was running about in Bruma having just gone to Ongar to fence some goods, when i notice the begger in front of the chruch was floating,i talk to him and it looks right up to him. having just completed the Jorundr and Arnora quest, i run back past the chapel to find him a little further up the hill with his feet partially in the ground, in the exact same position with the exact same facial expression. I assume something this is the default character position and something had not loaded correctly leading him here in this position at his assumed default elevation
Slow spell residual visual effects and slow internal doors
All spell residual visual effects are drastically slowed in my current game. This includes my spell visuals, enemy spell visuals, and lightning-like effects from oblivion gates. The fast-moving portion of the spell appears normal and the actual effects such as damage, paralysis, etc. work on the usual time scale, but the residual trails, flares, and auras stick around for several seconds. In addition, all movable doors, gates, and secret panels are also slowed, including display case lids. This is very dangerous in sigil keeps with internal fire towers because the fire blast whites out the screen for a few seconds and the citadel doors out of the room are extremely slow to open.
I have tried all the usual things that force the game to reset some portion of itself - saving and reloading (both game and computer), being arrested, and fast travel do nothing. The problem follows me from cell to cell, so it is not cell-specific. Worst of all, when I revert to an older saved game before the problem manifested, the same thing eventually happens after about the same amount of game play, even when doing completely different actions. I have not tried switching characters because I have ~260 hours in this one, which makes a permanent glitch even more annoying.
System: PC, Steam game-of-the-year addition (all official plugins), plus the skill diary plugin. Tried Map Marker Overhaul but couldn't get the icons to show, still haven't uninstalled it.

- This is actually a fairly well known bug, though I took a look through the contents of the main Glitches article and was surprised to see it apparently missing.
- It seems to be directly related to the amount of playtime you've racked up. It happened to me, and I was able to fix it using this (which also provides a bit more info on the matter). - Bomb Bloke (Talk/Contribs) 00:31, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Repair Hammer Glitch
This is the most frustrating thing ever. I have put in way too many hours into this game and am currently almost level 100 with everything. My armorer got up to level 99 and for some unknown reason ALL my repair hammers have disappeared. Every last one of them just gone. At first I thought I was careless and didn't notice that I had run out. So i returned to imperial city to purchase more. When I did I went to check my inventory. NO HAMMERS. I went back saves, I waited, I slept, I restarted the Xbox, NOTHING. Somebody please direct me in the proper direction because I really do not want to have to restart my game completely. :'( — Unsigned comment by 206.223.212.206 (talk) at 02:15 on 31 January 2011

Quest Update Glitch
If you have the left mouse button held down (such as when you're shooting arrows at something) while a quest update comes up, you have to quit the game entirely, because the left mouse button is then permanently stuck down. Then you can only select things with the keyboard, but only the mouse will close the quest box. Even if you use the keyboard to reload the nearest save, the mouse button is still stuck down. It's rare, but it has happened to me enough to warrant mentioning it here. The quest update came up when I was in the middle of drawing the arrow back, not ready to shoot yet, so that may have something to do with it.
Glitch to Skyrim
Is there a glitch where you can get out the map in to skyrim?
- No glitches. But on PC you can set
bBorderRegionsEnabled=0
in the oblivion.ini file to remove the borders, so a player may venture outside of the map into the area that is supposed to be Skyrim. It is quite large, but is just all foliage. RaidensTechSupp 09:56, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
Yes, jump down the wall in bruma then walk everywhere
Character stuck in spell animation
Most annoying thing I've encountered so far... and so far there is no fixing it. I'm on PC so I've modded my Oblivion but kept the most part of the Vanilla game. I always like to use Invisibility right before entering a building, that way when you finally enter your already invisible. Well... it kinda backfired on me. When I entered the building this time (having already used the spell Invisibility outside and before the hand goes up to cast, I enter the building) it didn't even register that I was "in" anything. I was able to look around with my mouse and my keyboard was working.. everything except the movement keys, casting keys, fighting keys, and quick spell reference keys. I could still bring up my menu, my saves menu and my console.
-First attempt at fixing it was to remove my clipping and collisions.. to see if that was the problem. And it wasn't..
--Second attempt at fixing it was to use the console to teleport my character to a town. This too, did not work.
---Third attempt at fixing it was to drop something and pick it back up. This is where I figured out that it was an animation error. When I tried to drop an object in my inventory the message appeared "You cannot do that until you complete your current action." .. or close to those words.
Anyone got any ideas as to fixing this?

Reloading would be the the least painful way to deal with this bug, this actually happened to me earlier today. As I said just reload. --AKB Talk 06:47, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
Yes, I had to re-load from an earlier save and delete that save altogether. It was a hard decision seeing as how I was a lower level and had just found some decent weapons/armor but.. there will always be weapons/armor. 75.117.220.134 19:57, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
Stairs of death!
I had just got my mages guild staff But when I stepped out of the door I started takeing damage fordetting I was a vampire. I waited for the chironasium guy to go to bed but his feet were stuck. he eventually unfreazed and I could feed. but when i went to leave I heard his wife talking to me. I couldnt find her. when I went back to the stair case her head was sticking out of it. I mean WTF!!!??? she started wiggin out trying to get out. she just all the sudden died. I SWEAR I didnt make this up. on my game shes still there with her legs sticking out above the basement door!

Constant +5 modifer on Agility
I got my sneak level up to 100 in the tutorial. The first game save works fine, but when i got to edit a character, befroe leaving the sewers is when the problem occurs. After i get the levels from the sewers i was owed every level after has a +5 agility modifier even when all i did was talk to speech craft and alchemy. — Unsigned comment by 98.160.143.21 (talk) on 22 February 2011
- If you had sneak as a major skill, then your character probably levelled up multiple times. Thus the +5 for Agility each time. Legoless 23:56, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
Oblivion game play 5 minute glitch
I have not played oblivion for a long time, and seeing as the release date for Skyrim was announced, i wanted to play again. But after about 5 minutes into playing the game, i would freeze. Everything else could move, but i could not move my mouse, open the menu or the inventory, and the only way to get out of it was to Ctrl Alt Delete. So now i can't play anymore. Anyway to get it to work again? NOTE: I have tried installing it again, but with no luck. I also have all expansion pack installed, and have no mods downloaded if that helps. — Unsigned comment by 99.6.193.54 (talk) at 18:44 on February 24, 2011
Negative Encumberance + Infinite Level Up
Me and my friend were playing and after getting to level 59 before leaving the sewers and using the dupe glitch a few times we had dropped everything from our inventory and had a -44/500 encumberance! Does anybody have an explaination for this? BTW this was done on the 360 version.
- How did you level up if, by memory, there are no beds in the sewers? --Sencilia 08:48, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

- Unless you have done it by mods that is impossible. JackTurbo95 08:54, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

- To level in the sewers you must have a save that is about to level up and then a save in the sewers. Load your ready to level save and then sleep. Wait for the timer to go out. Then immediately load your sewers save and then the level up menu should pop up on that file. You may do this an unlimited number of times.

- i have encountered a negative encumberance before, while i havent done the math, and dont feel like giving it thought as to why, it seems to reset back to zero when new items are added and therefore a moot point. Sani Kiren 05:15, 27 March 2011 (UTC)Sani Kiren

Phase through walls
If you get your acrobatics above 700 and jump, while moving in the air the screen should start shaking and you will be able to go through walls. It doesn't always work though. Keep in mind that my speed was at 297 by using the permanent fortify glitch and I'm not quite sure if its just because my game laggs beacuase I have done a lot of other glitching on my xbox.
