Lost Souls are spirits in the form of spectral wispmothers, that are drawn towards the Witch Pikes at active Harrowstorms. As they are absorbed by the pikes, they will charge the ritual.
Those in Morthal Barrow and The Undergrove simply heal the pike rather than empowering it.
